Got my Palit Gaming Pro OC today
Waiting on a new 750w corsair PSU being delivered before I install it as I don't really trust the sketchy one in there at the minute

Just don't buy it from here. All good we are annoyed and expressing our frustrations here in forums. But the CEO and shareholders don't know or care about that.

We speak with our wallet. If this was handled like the other place in UK that updates twice a day with lengthy posts and tables. I would have bought the x570 I purchase last week from here. The extra 16GB of Corsair vengence RGB I bought elsewhere, I would have got from here. The 850 watt plat PSU I got 3 weeks ago I would have got here. And the Ryzen 5900x I would have pre ordered here, but I won't. All those items and more I have got from this other place over the last 4 weeks. And that's how we express our annoyances with our wallet. That's what makes changes. Gets new people in the positions in future.
+1

I have recently been spending out on a new CPU, a new PSU, new memory, new fancy cooler fan (All modest amounts, total about £500) and not a penny of it with OC. My objection isn't just that I personally feel that the information provided at launch was inaccurate - I can forgive them that. But what happened next is the worst customer service I've ever had from anywhere. But...even that, I can deal with. But I am really not happy with the continuation of pre-orders with the following, false pre-order bait on their website - even with a queue number, without trawling this forum, they will unlikely know that even if you're 10th - it could still be months before you get your card....let alone high 1,000's!

Luckily, Overclockers UK is one of the NVIDIA’s biggest partners which guarantees we will always be one of the very first companies to acquire stock in the UK.
We are receiving and shipping cards on a daily basis as they arrive from the various manufacturers.
We are working directly with NVIDIA and various graphics card vendors to secure as much stock as possible. Luckily, being one of the biggest suppliers of computer hardware in the UK means we can almost guarantee we will receive allocation before anyone else.
...we are in the best possible position to acquire it before every other UK retailer. This means the only place to preorder right now is at Overclockers UK!

I'd love it if somewhere else in UK just gets a massive shipment of 1000s of cards. So EVERYONE here can cancel and get them from elsewhere. And oc loose all pre orders. I can guarantee once that gets back to headoffice or shareholders owners. Someone else in the future will do a better job like daily lengthy and tables stating stuff. And it be handled much better. Then Gibbo can do something else because customer support and relations really isn't for him.

Coulg go with whse job picking them cards

I don't get it. If there's no update from anyone, that means they have no news to give - do you really want a daily forum post says sorry no news today???? What purpose would that serve?

You know, I'm not mad at the no info anymore, or the fact they have my money so I can't even attempt to buy elsewhere.

I'm mad that everywhere else knows what and when they are getting, weeks in advance and seem to be getting way more cards than here.
I feel like Gibbo should stop posting in cars and stock threads when he should be working and help us out a little.
There's no one on the customers side in this place anymore EVH and space monkey have been replaced by stanners, I suspect for trying to get information for us, the paying customers, the ones that pay for the forum and their shops wages.

The answer to why 3 xtremes arrived and only 1 shipped, it's probably the same reason why a shipment of gigabyte gaming came in and no one got one.

The problem everybody seems to be getting at now is how is it other retailers can provide day to day updates when OCUK have no info at all? Other retailers seem to be getting these updates daily, what stock they are getting a week in advance and expected dates. Looking at a specific website here they knew they are getting 305 cards in this week of various AIB's with expected dates yet OCUK dont seem to have a clue how many they are getting. OCUK seem to be unable to get this information until 24 hours before the delivery but other retailers have this info a week in advance. (or OCUK do know and just purposefully withholding that information from us until 24 hours before they are due).

But you know.......

Well given the situation and people's feelings about what's going on it'll at least show some professionalism and concern towards customers, and will help keep anxiety / annoyance minimised.

A statement about any or no current confirmed shipments.
Followed by the numbers of current unfulfilled and fulfilled orders for each card.
Posted daily.

Yeah I am regretting preordering from here now. I did actually have a preorder from a competitor site at the same time, but I didn't like the idea of 2 websites holding my money, so cancelled and chose here. Big mistake.

The info needs to be accurate too. We've seen cards shipped out that wasn't even reported as being received etc. It's a shambles. Of course, more or less info doesn't mean the card will get to me any faster, I know that, but it's an inconsistent shambles that isn't improving (although there was an Epic effort for 1 day last week).

The promised web update for those not trawling the forums, hasn't been updated since the 12th of October too:

Is this referring to the thing where Nvidia are holding back on stock? I've not really read into this but how is that supposed to work? Surely if they were worried about AMD they'd want as much stock out as soon as possible not wait until AMD launch? Or am I misunderstanding?
Well, if you mass-produce GPU's which are slower than AMD's then you will see people returning said GPU's back and that is a net loss, if you withhold your GPU supply, you avoid the distribution and manufacturing costs associated with producing a GPU that few people want, because AMD's GPU is faster (ignoring features like DLSS & Raytracing)

How many Nvidia RTX 3000 GPU's will be produced is determined by how much demand will swing towards AMD, once Nvidia figures out the "real" demand for their GPU's, they will adjust the supply to meet that demand. At the moment, Nvidia don't know this demand until AMD shows what they've got so that customers can make up their minds on which card they're going to pick.
