*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Looks like we have Jack with a very large side of squat

Love it!! And so true!! If id of known wed reach November with only 13 cards shipped they would not of got my money. Ocuk really need to either keep us better informed or start getting numbers.

And ocuk may be getting the same number and probably wouldnt clear 1/8th of just one model. Thats the problem when a) you took more ordered than the rest of the UK combined and b) you kept your order books open.

That other retailer (i think its the same one) said they closed taking orders once they got to December delivery for what people were ordering. They only have a month to clear 7/8th of their orders yet.
Seems like a larger amount than previous weeks though, so with fingers crossed this week marks the start of larger shipments.

I dunno, maybe I'm reading into it too much but the wording on the update just sounded pretty positive to me.

Looks like no update today :(

Its worrying that one the main competitors are currently receiving and shipping orders from this weekend, across the range. I've used OCUK for over a decade, but I think this is a lesson to learn for the future. It just doesn't have the clout to get cards in at the same volume as the other retailer. I feel sorry for them. Maybe they annoyed someone.
I agree, I don’t think I’ll be shopping here again after this. Not as powerful as they think they are, which is quite annoying.

It looks like the other site could fulfil their pre orders quite quickly. Fingers crossed as I might jump over and get a card from there
This will be like rushing over to a newly opened till at the supermarket, having 5 other people get in before you and then not being able to get your spot back at the original till

Wow, it really doesn't take much to swing someone's view of a business to "absolutely terrible never using again"

i won’t cancel my pre order with OC until I get a despatch with someone else. If the other site gets stock and I can get lower than my current queue position then it’s a bonus.

I’d just rather have more options available then just carry on waiting for OC while others manage to snag 3090s off other sites

All shops have been overwhelmed by pre-orders, it's not just OCUK having problems. If you had spent your money elsewhere, you wouldn't be any better off.

The blame has to land with Nvidia. They underestimated the demand for the cards and didn't manufacture enough to launch with.

So after a week all that “the biggest retailer with the most leverage in the UK” could get is “a small amount of a single AIB 3080”.
Well that’s disheartening...

Give it a moment, Gibbo has been splitting the announcements between multiple posts. See he just added more
40 KFA2s. Lucky anyone who ordered that make

Ah, should have worded my post better. I meant for on-launch products.

The competitor have updated today that they are expecting over 100 3090's this week, across the various brands.....that should clear an 1/8th of their pre order book!

Some numbers so far as were soon going into a new month:
219 units of 3090 shipped from OcUK - Still around 950 backorders outstanding
That's a good bit more than 1/8th. Looks like it's a lot of smoke and mirrors making competitors look better than they actually are

That makes a lot more sense

Looking like I won't be playing Cyberpunk on my 3090 until December then given Gibbo's recent update :(
I'm trying not to think about that situation

Just glad the PS5 is out the same day so I can play the new Spider-Man and forget about Cyberpunk for a bit.

I still have my 1080ti so I can almost certainly still play it at 4K, just with the settings cranked down, RTX turned off and at a much lower framerate.
That said I'd be playing with a bitter taste in my mouth

Asus none OC cards.
I finally got an official answer from Asus, none OC cards are not discontinued and still very much part of the range, however as cards are hitting OC levels they are prioritising their manufacturing on OC parts at the moment and as they get more GPUs from NVIDIA they will then also product none OC cards, not the best news as it means their focus is OC models but the none OC models will come.

from Gibbo, looks like I’ll be looking for different brand of card as I doubt I’ll get my Non OC this year.....

Thats not how many they are expecting to clear this week though is it, like I was talking about. Also, I'd be surprised if OC only have 950 backorders.

The other site have got 800 outstanding backorders, and they stopped taking orders at about 2.30pm on the 24th September! They also announced that they delivered 108 last week and 91 the week before, So probably in the same region of total deliveries since launch. Not sure where the smoke and mirrors are
