*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

@Gibbo

Based on the Asus Tuf non OC update, do you think *any* will be arriving soon, or are they just not being produced at all at this point?

Thanks.

Seems people twist my words Asus are producing all cards but in the update they gave me yesterday is most the GPUs they are receiving from NVIDIA are binning well and as such more OC cards are being produced since launch and at the moment and I said things can change they could next month get a batch of GPU which don’t hit OC levels and this production of none OC would then ramp up but simple fact is no one knows the future.

Asus send us setups and request we put online and so we do and until yesterday no one from Asus had communicated anything I JD to ask them and finally got the answer that at the moment most of the GPUs they get go to OC models due to better than expected binning and as such OC models are shipping in greater numbers and in fairness OC models have sold in greater numbers too but at same time small amounts of none OC are shipping.

That is far different than saying not producing at all!

If OC can't fulfil the order, they should either stop taking anymore preorders or just take small amount for the preorder (e.g. £50-100) and take the rest once the cards are ready to be send out. What OC doing is taking full amount for the preorders and not communicating properly with the customers

Wonder if there will be any news on the MSI cards and movement, I also wonder instead if the weekly emails, if say a larger order comes in an update can be sent for those that are waiting on that type of card? Cancellations I totally get should be weekly but if an update is provided with cards actually being shipped i'm sure it would make a lot more people happier. At this rate i see a lot of people cancelling orders with Christmas coming. Im lucky I can hold on if I choose to but other people might not be in the same boat with no product available.

No they are doing the nice thing and calling their customers who are already in a queue and offering them an alternative that is in stock. That is how I got my 3080 last Saturday.
No, I have spoke to them and the cards which have no outstanding orders are going live soon. They do what you say regarding cards that have many outstanding orders with only cards of the same brand. That's not what I meant.

We do get those updates. If your card has a shipment, you get a queue update email, I had one the other week
As well as the update email every Friday

I have just canceled my order for Asus GeForce RTX 3080 TUF Gaming 10GB GDDR6X PCI-Express Graphics Card last updated item is 1522, how long is the pending refund pending peypall

So does that mean if you have an ASUS TUF Non-OC on order you won't likely see it to next year?
I am currently 184 in queue, wow imagine the people over 1000 in the queue.:eek::eek:

Don't worry, I and currently 1329 in queue but I think many people will cancel their order for AMD or they are not patience enough.

105 in msi x trio queue order 15:07 I really hope I get it next month before the ps5 or I'm going to end up playing the next gen games in the ps5 =/ I've dropped down from 117, 3 weeks ago or so.. Where's the stock ocuk had ordered would in theory have it shipped surely by now

You're right, it's pretty depraved of me but my choices right now are limited to keeping this order, praying it'll come soonish or cancelling and becoming an F5 warrior with other retailers. But I'll be holding out on my preorder for now and looking for an EVGA or MSI somewhere.

I’m gonna hold on for a bit, will see what AMD have and then possibly cancel my order a week or two before launch to try for one of those.
ASUS probably have extremely limited amounts of GPUs due to nvidias supply, so even if they were making both versions it wouldn’t be very much. We still haven’t seen an OC TUF delivery in weeks.
I’m fairly low in the queue considering it’s size so may see a bunch of cancellations also.

Just called them myself as I cancelled the MSI 3080 on Friday. I received an email offering free delivery on my next order so I called them about the PNY cards. They have confirmed they are NOT taking any order for any cards until all back orders are completed, regardless of the level of back orders on a particular brand. I was told "you'll just have to wait".

Well that’s why I asked. I wasn’t twisting your words, I was asking for clarification.

So even if they do create a batch of cards next month that don't bin to OC levels, they still need to package and ship them. Easily another 3-4 weeks. That's assuming they even send them to the UK. :(

This is even more evidence of it being a paper launch.
If it wasn't a paper launch, they would have been able to do proper estimates on their binning and provide better details to retailers/distributers.

It's been an absolute disaster. It is possibly the worst launch since the Space Shuttle Discovery in 1986.
