lol. are the scalpers even offering the codes? once you use them though presumably any issues going forward you would be directed to the manufacturer. The card needs to be installed and is obviously working if you redeem the code. Im not actually sure where you would stand on a return like that. At the least the seller would be allowed to deduct the watchdogs cost from any refund so you wouldn't actually acheive anything i dont think.

The more you look at them both the more you see nvidia has the edge performace wise. With that said nobody knows for sure what the amd pricing will look like. I'm going nvidia even if amd come up with a bargain but for some where price vs performance is a big consideration then if amd undercut nvidia enough they could take a lot of customers. The offerings from both haven't been this close before so should be good to see what happens next time around :)

The 2070 is a very capable card. The only issue is that in a few months when 3080s are common i expect the resale of 20s will nosedive.

Lol. So only one I can see is this one. And has a Gigabyte gaming oc 3080. I guess that's the eagle maybe?
All options due in by the 5th November on this pre built. A lot of other places saying around that time too. And obviously cheaper than a 3090. The 3070 super/to will likely be around the price of what AMD are doing to make sure Nvidia beats AMD coz right now if AMD release a card that is on par with 3080 AND PRICED at 3070 this is how Nvidia fixes the issue. I think this is why AIBs not getting chips. They have been drip feeding them and holding onto all G6X so they can't make them. In case they don't loose to much money in what AMD brings. Kind of makes sense

DLSS is the biggest reason I want to stick with Nvidia and the extra ray tracing performance is a bonus. I don’t use GeForce now. I am using a friend RX570 right now and I must say a much prefer AMD’s software. It’s so much better to use.
Yeah this is exactly what’s going on. Nvidia tried to release too early just to get the hype going and now it’s completely backfired on them.

All of the reviews I saw of the ASUS TUF were of the OC version. They may have just referred to it as the TUF, but the boxes they had lying around said OC on them.

I can't really see the appeal. But then, I'm not some bearded topknotted hipster **** sat in a coffee shop in Shoreditch, reading my copy of wheatgrass furniture weekly over an iced mochafrapachinolatte.
 
Asus are selling the non OC Tuff model directly on their own website - at least they are in france - a number were for sale just now on their web shop but they dont ship to UK. sold out quickly though

I assume this is not in breach of the compitor rules as its the manufatrcurer etc selling the card.
 
strange this forum you got the puppies firm on one side and the overclockers haters firm on the other side, when this gibbo guy turns up the puppy firm get very excited and ask please throw me a stick please gibbo we love you the haters firm never seem to be around when he's on the forum they must all have their tea at the same time.
 
Received my 3090 today I managed to snatch up some place else. It'd be extremely selfish to keep my order so i cancelled my 3080 Eagle OC order, just giving an update for anyone waiting for that card. Feels good to be finally out of the races, but if youre still going strong and didnt cancel or give up yet, you're a real one. The transparency from OC in the last week or so has been great and i look forward to everyone being happy when their order is fulfilled. Trust me, production is definitely ramping up, if you can snag up a 3090 like i did if you have the budget, you might be in for better odds (but of course if the queues are small get it from OC). No clue how to make images smaller.

That's it lads i'm out, grabbed myself a 1660 super to tide me over until middle of next year when stock hopefully stabilises.

i was 782 for the TUF non OC.
