*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

And which one is more damaging to business reputation? I'm not annoyed at the main competitor for not taking orders at the moment....I'm just narked I didn't order there originally. :D

Personal choice as ever, but I find the random drops of small quantities far more annoying than being stuck in a long queue.

1.Thing with Asus non-OC is not that it's not canceled or not produced, but Asus is not focusing on them so the shipment worldwide is slow, very slow for that. Most customers, especially here took it, yeah, don't make it, so according to their own logic, OC sold them something that it's not produced, as if it's OC fault, not the manufacturer that promised the model worldwide and does not deliver. So while of course it's their right to look somewhere else, it's stupid to blame the store for something Asus just decided to reveal on a whim.
2.Now take this with a pinch of salt, as i am not in that queue, but if i was in the Asus OC queue, i would probably not mind if people move the queue, but only if they go back to the queue. BUT, this would also bring complications for the store, as people would just jump queues whenever one brand/model is moving a bit faster, and that would f*ck up queues so badly.

Seen this in Navi thread not seen here gotta repost

At £950, rather you than me buddy! ;)

Ditto - just got a stock notification on the Strix 3080 OC for £934 but the seller has lots of people reviewing them poorly asking why their order was suddenly cancelled. I'm not so desperate that I'm willing to help launder money for a dodgy third-party seller. :D If I jump from OCUK, it'll only be to another brand I've bought from before.

Also guys, hear this theory, what if the ones that always says that they canceled cause they got from competitors are actually competitors employees trying to undermine OC.uk? We don't have a way to prove they are real customers, what if this is just a very big conspiracy? here, talk this while waiting for your orders >.>:confused::confused::D

I'm off to get some beer

Edit; .. and popcorn

Why not both?

Yeah, it's just not worth the money or the risk. I'll be waiting on my preorder, go for FE or possibly BigNavi. In a way, I'm kind of glad I haven't received it before the AMD announcement. The way Nvidia have managed this launch, I'm really hoping AMD can pull this off.

I'm going to go the AMD route I think. Will wait to see what they show tomorrow but I'm only after a card that can push 3440 x 1440 on ultra settings so if their card can do that then I'll go to Radeon for the first time in over 10 years..

Easily done. Their benchmarks were on par with the 3080, in some they were better. That's not even the top tier card too.

This, I'm actually more inclined to go AMD on principle due to NVIDIAs launch shambles. If AMD actually have the supply (and the card can push 1440p) they deserve my custom and support...

Yeah, like OC isn't selling an empty promise at the moment that they'll deliver something that they do not posses nor will they have in any near future.
If you go search a product using any search engine it takes you to product page (even from NV website) where there is only information about pre-order, standard marketing BS in the product description area and information about sales being limited to UK and Ireland due to high demand. It doesn't say in explicit manner that you might get your product after new year because evidently ASUS went rouge and decided to screw over everyone, including business partners, and OC ist taking more orders for lolz.

You can apply similar logic to the rest of the AIB that clearly don't deliver their models.

This apologetic behaviour is ridiculous. Mate, I don't want **** on your parade, but this won't help you get your card sooner.

I only learned one thing from this situation - I'm not going to order anything from OC that has a pre-order label on it. It's just not worth it.
