• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Guys seriously? Competitor linking/discussion is forbidden - you agreed to the rules when you signed up.

Why aren't they getting banned? I got a 2 day ban for a vague reference when asked to but people outright posting links get a slap on the wrist...? Feels a little unfair lol

At this point, considering that the first teaser trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 was shown in January 2013, I'm more concerned about the fact that it might end up like Duke Nukem Forever: it would have been an amazing game if it had been released in a decent time, it will look already dated when it will finally hit the shelves.

Also, the tin foil hat on my head is telling me that Cyberpunk will be delayed until the RTX 3000 series stock normalises. Each delay announcement for the game was followed closely by a delay for the RTX 3000 series, almost as if there's some sort of agreement between Nvidia and CDProjekt Red to make Cyberpunk 2077 the "killer application" for the new GPUs.

I'm glad I am not the only one thinking like this lol. I think the game will be good most likely but clearly has had a troubled development with all the features cut etc and taking so long.
Besides, CDPR has only developed the one type of game, the Witcher series and spinoffs( gwent etc) as far as I know, I will wait for trusted reviews before pulling the trigger I think. Sounds like it's going to be a buggy mess.

True. I got a 4 day last week when I tried to tell people another place who does sell them but hardly a competitor on OCUK scale, completely removed the non oc Asus cards of the database they had incoming and got a 2021 est date after. I was 4 day banned in 10 seconds lol. Fair enough. I know it was against the rules kindoff. I wasn't saying go buy one they have them. I was giving info on stock coming in to UK had all been cancelled for this place for the non oc.

Using AI assisted programs to compute the configuration of their computers utilising the power of the tensor cores. I can supply the augmentations for a low price of £500/a month

I may have take you up on this as away on a work course for most of November and the Instructors won't like me checking my phone constantly :)

How do people know when these cards are going live for sale? Are people using programs?

I use an alert program and I'm in a Discord. But until now the competitor in question didn't even have listings for the 30 series cards (and they still don't appear in search but they're notorious for a terrible search system) so there was no way I'm aware of to monitor it, must've just been luck to notice it?

EDIT: Mods are we allowed to name the program, as it's not technically a competitor? I've learned it from this forum but that doesn't mean the people were allowed to say it

Take a loof for a tuf

Was a legit 3rd party seller though. And expensive but same price est as stores who let's be real are scalping too lol. You can always tell when stuff is a out to go live if you manually search for it and it doesn't show them. I have loads on notify and wishlist but they don't show up when searching. When I saw that evga I manaully searched and saw the strix. Said univaible. Then a minute later was avaible. Either way good some managed to get the EVGA coz we all know OCUK ain't getting any of these at all. I like the guy who posted the link. Sacrificed himself for the cause lol
No mods around I guess though lol

No, it was a retailer that always cancel orders, you only have to be in the Discord servers to see how scalpy they are.

Evga drop was legit, Strix wasn't.

If it was taking business away then I'd understand. But when you have over a thousand orders on waiting list then it is a different matter.

I would have ordered here if they had responded to my query yesterday asking which brand had the shortest time.

There's TUF now but £150 over RRP. Legit seller but basically a scalper tbh.

Hopefully means the TUFs are arraving at OCUK right now too though?

This is what I used to purchase mine:
[edit] fine, it's a gray area but I can see how someone might see it as a link to "stuff about competitors". The answer is yes, people use bots, anyway.
