*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

If it was taking business away then I'd understand. But when you have over a thousand orders on waiting list then it is a different matter.

I would have ordered here if they had responded to my query yesterday asking which brand had the shortest time.
Yeah I agree. I wasnt taking any business away at all. I was trying to let people know something official from another place would likely mean same for everywhere that the non oc are not coming for a very long time. So people could make a decision. And since Gibbo said what he said yesterday about non oc you can see loads of people cancelling and swapping to oc versions. If they stopped taking pre orders they could have been offered what the other big place in UK is doing calling up the customers and offering them to swap to oc models.

Maybe the rest were people that weren't on the forum?

Nope. Can't be.

I was in position 2. I moved to position 1. Others on the forum also moved one. This meant the original position 1 had to cancel which is highly unlikely and means they only shipped one card in a bath of 5-10 (minimum that was posted). Someone called and OCUK said they only received 3.

Where are the other cards...

IMO, they should have a threshold that regardless of quality at least X% of the cards should be the lower model. They're offering them up for sale and there's no excuse for not then producing them. It's not like the OCs cost them any more to make, so the only reason to not take this approach is greed.

Under normal circumstances that is exactly what would happen, but up until now they haven't been able to get enough GPUs from Nvidia to run any of their lines at full capacity so the chips just go where they are binned, and the 'good' news is that they seem to be hitting the higher clocks pretty well, but that means fewer dropping out the bottom for the non-OC units.

It is another reason why you don't really want to get a non-OC card right now as you can pretty much guarantee it is using a GPU that failed the binning tests for an OC version.

Will be cancelling my Tuf non-oc today. Good luck to all of you.

(Hopefully the queues should drop dramatically over the next few days )

Managed to get 2x 3080s from elsewhere since putting my pre-order in with OC. (One for me, one for my brother).

Was always a promoter of OC before all this. Not such a fan any more....

I use an alert program and I'm in a Discord. But until now the competitor in question didn't even have listings for the 30 series cards (and they still don't appear in search but they're notorious for a terrible search system) so there was no way I'm aware of to monitor it, must've just been luck to notice it?

EDIT: Mods are we allowed to name the program, as it's not technically a competitor? I've learned it from this forum but that doesn't mean the people were allowed to say it
Any chance you could share these via PM?
