*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

It’s what they deserve for the shady business practises they have been operating
They haven't been shady. Sure the communication has been a bit sporadic, but that is mostly AIB and Nvidia's fault.
The problem with this business model is that as customers the only connection we have to the supply chain is the retailer, with the idea is that it goes up the supply chain. If we could talk directly to Nvidia we probably wouldn't be on this Forum.

I still have to see a non-oc 3080 strix anywhere. No reviewer got their hands on it yet. Probably not even in production and they say they got 7 units today :).
if I'm not mistaken TUF non OC wasn't reviewed either, so I'm hoping we don't have to wait until ******* reviewers get it....
But also totally agreeing with you, I'm 99% sure the guy that talked to him confused TUF and strix non OC because there's no way they received 7/13 of them ...

So I was on the german South American rainforest website staring at preorder for EVGA 3080 to be released on the 30th of October (now all gone so don't bother going there) and a big message stating that even though it is sold by the said company (so no 3rd party seller!) it cannot be sent to my location in UK!! Now this is new!!??

Seeing the benchmarks for 6800xt n 6900xt Nvidia better sort out their supply within next 4 weeks or it's going to be maaaaasive cancellation wave

There's sporadic then there's telling someone on the phone you're getting non-OC's yet there's no confirmation of that ANYWHERE and then only getting 6 STRIX OC cards in a supposedly "small" shipment of STRIX OC's which should number in the 10-30 range. At this point there's an incredible amount of inconsistencies and disingenuous communication going on, I've honestly tried so hard to be patient, but as someone who deals with content creation among other things, I have deadlines for this kind of stuff personally and it just becomes so nerve racking/frustrating.

But for him to say in the call that Gibbo was referring to a small batch of both OC and non-OC it wouldn't make sense to be OC Strix and non OC Tuf. I agree he could have mistaken since he kept referring to "Gaming non-OC"

I'm sticking with my rtx 3080 pre-order.

I will be keeping mine, good presentation though.

I am on twin PG279QE GSync monitors so am tied into the Nvidia generation of equipment. I suspect there will be those nervous of the driver issues seen previously also.

Is there any thread where we can see the number of orders/preorders for each 3080 type?

It would be useful for those who don't care much about what brand to get, as long as they can get one.

The point is to go for the ones with less demand in orders.
get a zotac trinity oc, they have just had some come in i was number 28 and mine is coming tomo, 5 years warranty , in 2-3 years put it on ebay with it still being under warranty it will sell for a decent price.
