*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I am off the train bois. I was lucky to get a FE yesterday drop and received it today. Cancelling my Asus ROG 3090 OC since I really couldn't justfiy its price/performance to myself.

Nice! - I was the same - cancelled the Asus OC for the FE - the build quality of the FE is just superb.

I doubt it considering it just mentions having a state-of-the-art nvme drive, plus what is going to demand high vram at 1080 ?
That feature may well also buffer with more VRAM, since we've already seen someone buffer Crysis Remastered in VRAM fully, and VRAM always beats NVME in speed, worth thinking about.

Thanks. Great minds think alike. Enjoy it!

Build quality of FE is extremly good. The performance difference from 3090 to just about 10% in average for gaming, but the price is almost about 2.7x!!! I might be crazy, but not that much.

My old EVGA 1080Ti and FE card. I can say that FE is almost 2x heavier than my 1080Ti. I hope it will not sack in future.

I'm sure Nvidia would have stated this if so, but meh, I tried the Crysis thing, with the game being installed on the GPU it still has to transfer data from GPU VRAM to RAM and back, so that adds an overhead. The GPU was just being used as storage device, still had to go via RAM.

Hi guys, apologies, new in the forum. Is there a way to find out where I stand in the queue? I pre-ordered my STRIX OC on Tuesday 27/10, and on Wednesday 28/10 I received an email informing me that I am number 500 in the queue.

You won't have moved since
You'll get another email next time they ship some cards with your new position

You'll find your position will change quite quickly, not only because of the passage of time since first preorders began, but the drop outs for other cards in the next month and as I expect a big dump of cards in the next few weeks from Asus. That's my view.
