I wonder if OC keeps some units back, to deal with fault-returns. If i'd waited a long time for a card, then found it faulty-on-arrival, I'd expect it to be replaced without long delays. If they send a number of cards out, they need to hold back some small percent of them in case of faults, for a couple of weeks or so. Or not?

For one of the eagle boys who got a day one card he had to send it to gigabyte for the dodgy power connector issues I think, so guessing where faults are concerned it's back to manufactures
 
To be fair on the Gigabyte shipment - it seems 'the competitor' hasn't had theirs yet either - they have been pushing their daily update back by an hour at a time whilst they are waiting for the expected shipments to arrive

That suggests that they know it's on it's way today.

There is still hope then lol, think the OCUK boys ship until 7PM? But I guess there would be booking in etc so probably wont get a last minute surprise lol

Xtreme wont have more than 2-3 anyways so thats me bone'd for 3080, 6800XT here I come. Gigabyte really are the worst.
 
I wish Gibbo would give more information in regards to 'Small amount across most brands'. What cards aren't receiving shipments? EVGA have yet to receive anything.

To try to temper expectiations, some of us read the stock part of that post to be only about Gigabyte (the first line with 3090s was, the 3080 and 3070 lines just said "most" and "all", no brand mentioned). Would love to be wrong, but better to assume the worst and be pleasantly surprised. So the "most" might just be 3 of the 4 Gigabyte SKUs, rather than all brands

That's why he should use clear and concise English instead of vagueness and generalisations.

Yeh i'm gonna try and get a FE and cancel this order. It strange that after a month OCUK haven't received a single non oc TUF card (I started at 72 in the first queue position email, assuming my jump to 63 is all cancellations)

I kind of judge myself a little thinking It would only have been a few weeks wait back then lmao

So i think that 89 people have bailed as i cant remember seeing any of these cards having arrived from Gbbo

At this rate ill be number one in the que by January without a card being shipped.

Based on how surprised he seemed to be about how people interpreted his comments about ASUS and OC vs non-OC productions I suspect he doesn't mean to be as vague as he comes across, but I agree, he really needs to spend an extra minute or two proofreading his posts and thinking about how they might be misinterpreted. Whether it is "most" gigabyte SKUs, or "most" AIBs, why not specify? All that the vagueness does is create more complaints later.

Nearly sub 100 on the Zotac 3080 Non OC. Still don't think any have been shipped as Gibbo hasn't said anything :D Maybe I'll go sub 100 next week if they're included in the small amount of most 3080s that are due to be in next week. Wondering about AMD now...

Thanks @Gibbo and @GIGA-Man it's been great for the information this week and the no deliveries of cards that everyone has been getting apart from here.

See everyone next week for total ineptitude, inconsistencies and vague incompetences with some sprinkles of ignorance from oc
