*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Do overclockers take the money when you pre-order or when they get the stock and ship you a card?

Right away. Like all the other pre-orders they have had for weeks. Money better in their bank than yours ;)

Will we have a COVID vaccine preorder thread too?

We will have that vaccine guaranteed before OCUK get all these cards out to folks, in fact, the way things are going, CV19 will be a thing of the past by then :)

Competitor now offering call of duty blops codes with purchase. If we miss the watch dogs code will we get that instead? or are we being completely shafted here?

I'll say this, to all those way back in queue, give up, get your money back, and sit back and look at the time wasted here moaning about it. By the time you get your card (from here anyway), your just not gonna enjoy it the same. Look at it this way. If the 3080 had not been announced, then you would be quite happily sitting with what you have. Well, next year (which is not far off), is a new one, and I'm sure, waiting till then, will be far quicker than waiting here, and with much more prosperous results, plus the cash for it in your bank ;)

A Company who 'takes', and not 'gives', is not one to be trusted. They are 'still' continuing to take pre-orders, despite not fulfilling the many who paid up early. Disgusting, and I'd get out now while you can ;) We live in perilous times now, and things change every day. Other competitors have refused to open orders until their backlog is done, which is what it should be, but not OCUK, it's take, take, take, without regard, and they will suffer, but ask yourself this. Should you be part of that?, more so, when they can't even take the time to utter a single word about this whole situation, nor apologise for any single delay. There ya go, I hope you all do the right thing.

P.S

Since cancelling my order way back, my daughter & son are both happy with their 3080's, I'm prepared to wait.

Small amount of most of 3080 is coming. I'm sure Asus tuf non-OC is one of those that are not coming. 40 cards posted fince 17th September. It is amazing.

These are the most pointless advices, not your money to manage mate. If they read here saw the queues and still joined the long queue, they knew very well what they were getting in.

Not really no, many might have been blinded by the false promises that “OCUK have special relationships with Nvidia/AMD and suppliers” which have turned out to be complete lies and falsehoods, especially when you see how many competitors are shipping, some are even having a surplus to move other que members onto that card

I concur with Scaramonga and Woppy, I'm afraid.

Your reasoning is flawed by a simple assumption that everyone who buys from OC knows about these forums. They may well follow a forum link, but that links only to the incredibly sporadic updates by Gibbo. It would take every customer to do some investigation and dig a little deeper to find this post and the chaos that awaits them...

I didn't know this forum existed until I did a Google search. Neither may many new customers, who have no warning of queue positions for each card and might get caught up in the fact that OC are allowing pre orders, so they MUST have huge amounts of stock and that lovely special relationship....

Spoiler: They don't. We know that...new customers don't....the advice is very much sound.

Edit for autospell that didn't......

I've shopped with OC since... 2009? Since their premises was in the arse end of an old factory and it was quite a small operation with few staff.

That said I didn't know about the forums, nor did I think twice when I could pre order 2 days after the launch and pre orders were still up- subsequently ended up over 1000 in a queue that will unlikely be fulfilled until late next year by my estimation, I honestly thought I'd have it within a few weeks.

You can say that giving the customer a choice is valid. I dont think it is in these circumstances. Not when they charge up front, say nothing about long queues unless you're in the forum. I know they offer refunds in a timely manner, but sitting on potentially millions when they are getting what seems to be the smaller allocations trickling though is poor I feel.

Edit- for the record, I've secured a 3070, and fortunately a 3080, neither of which are through OC.

Ok, potential new fly in the ointment. Looks like there is going to be a new national lockdown from Wednesday, with a ban on all but essential shops and essential travel. Whilst OC are on-line, I’m not sure their staff would qualify as essential workers to be allowed to travel to work. Current thinking is the lockdown will last at least a month.

wonder what the official line is on that from OC, although to be fair its going to be quite difficult to give a position based on conjecture.

Dates are pretty accurate. A friend actually ordered the same card a few days ago and will get it on the 16th which suggests they're not just pulling numbers out of thin air (otherwise yours would've said 16th too). I ordered an Aorus Master last weekend and got it exactly when stated too (Monday). No haribo though.
How do you find this stock? Is my google broken. I keep checking every day and nothing. Well done.

People misunderstood what essential meant last time and businesses closed that weren't asked to.
