one had more 3080s around midnight last night. stock informer or distil or both are your friends when it comes to getting one. You will unlikely find one just refreshing occasionally. They never last long enough
Having a catchup through the forum as had a day off and the bickering lol, calm down guys.
I got an email yesterday to say moved 4 positions to 75 for the inno3d ichill x3, guessing that's due to cancellations as still waiting for that shipment last seen in HK!
Ordered a EVGA Ftw ultra from a rain forest in France on Thursday scheduled for delivery this Tuesday. I'm very skeptical, as not yet showing shipped...
Hope Gibbos update regarding the delayed deliveries coming in this week (50 X3 ichill from the HK shipment), and some of each 3080 totals more than 75 ichill x3.
Would love a 3080 asap, traded in my vega 56 to CEX to get hyperx alloy elite keyboard and mouse, speakers, all ready to go just need a Gpu! Can't wait for cyberpunk and Valhalla, would like to get AOE3 in meantime as that's come on gamepass since I traded in the vega.

Things will take longer but doubtfull OC would fully close. Non contact delivery wont change but staffing may which could cause delays.
Still. With the few cards that currently ship each week. im sure gibbo could take them into stock, pack and send them himself between calls to suppliers

Lockdown is definitely coming, this will add delays which ever way you look at it.

Yes I guess we may notice the "delays". We might get our weekly update on a Saturday rather than Friday that tells us how many people cancelled that week. Other than that.....
Seeing more and more 3080s going up on fb and ebay, can everyone please avoid buying from scalers and leave them with the cards.
Drives me mental how people buy cards they don't even want just to sell for ridiculous prices because there's people out there who are willing to pay for it just to go it the same or next day. They're scum and shouldn't be enabled.

lockdowns are effective when people adhere to them. A lot take liberties so when the lockdowns aren't enforced people don't care and its businesses that actually suffer. If people followed guidelines we wouldn't be where we are now. It is what it is though. I very much doubt a business is going to close this time that isn't specifically told to.
Did OC close last time? I know a lot of others where i normally order from didn't. I still got my orders quickly. I don't see why this time would be different. If anything it should be quicker as all the procedures are in place now that weren't last time
Yeah i think the pricing is silly tbh but at the end of the day they aren't doing anything wrong. ebay is there to buy and sell. just because somebody picked a product thats in demand. is it wrong? would you even care if you weren't look for the same thing. Lets face it there's always people selling hard to get stuff elsewhere at a high markup. Thats their choice. My choice is just to not buy from them. Unfortunately a lot of people will have more money than sense. If this lockdown causes OC etc to close then scalpers look a lot more attractive. Expect to see prices go north if that happens

Well if everyone followed the rules then maybe we wouldn't be in this situation now. Just fed up with it all, but it won't really be over until the vaccine is available.
But it's been found that the virus can reinfect at least 23% of people, because the antibodies wear off. This means a vaccine would be useless

There is a fundamental misunderstanding of the immune system which is exemplified in this comment. I’m not staying off topic for long but antibodies are only a small part of the immune system which provide short term immunity to pathogens.
Longer immunity is provided by T and B cells the latter which act as a memory to pathogens you have been previously exposed to. Exposure to similar coronaviruses can provide cross immunity to this one. Estimates I’ve seen show around 25-30% prior immunity.
Vaccines are only 50% effective at best though, and will not be a saviour regardless.

think Amazon are a slightly different proposition to OC. Amazon would be considered an essential supplier, like Tesco or Sainsbury’s. Not site PC components would be considered essential ( for anyone other than us, obviously).

Problem is all the morons drinking/partying and not social distancing, until they start dropping like flies, they will take no notice and ignore any sensible precautions.
Same as all the idiots protesting various things including restrictions, no social distancing and few with masks, who the hell do they think is spreading the dammed covid.

plus, of course, the flu jab also technically wears off, which is why you have one every year. So even if a vaccine only works for 3 months you just get a booster every 3 months ( ignoring all the supply issues of course ).
