How big of a bottleneck is my 6600K to my RTX 2070 (non-super)?

I'm getting choppy results in games, specifically BFV and Division 2 (framerate averages around 70 but get stutter quite often).

I'm planning on upgrading to a 5600X but before I do I assume my GPU and RAM is ok?

"DOMINATOR® PLATINUM RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16 Memory Kit"
"GeForce RTX 2070 ARMOR 8G OC"

Depends what resolution your gaming at , above 1080p the cpu has less impact on performance.

Your gpu and memmory will work fine with a 5600x.

What resolution you gaming at ?

Thanks Mickyflinn I'm gaming at 1440p. I just get the impression that something isn't performing well then and since you said that I'm leaning towards the GPU in that case.

My 2c is that you'll be seeing issues with the 6600k.

6600k @ 4.5 on a 1440p monitor with Vega 64.

I'm getting stuttering with most modern games, and even games that used to run fine and now not playing nice. I've slowly traced it to the CPU, by monitoring GPU and CPU usages, and it's particularly bad if there are a few background processes running. For example, discord cuts out constantly if I play warzone with CPU spikes to 100%...

Just about to upgrade to one of the new Ryzens, will report back with my findings (if you haven't upgraded already)

It could well be the cpu but you will have to monitor gpu and cpu usage when it dips, 100% usage is usually the limiting

Looking at benchmarks for bfv I would say your cpu is limiting your fps.
