Hi guys, looking to upgrade my pc a little here, i've got 16gb 3200mh ram, and have already pre ordered my 3070 ( hopefully get it soon) and am looking into the Ryzen 5 5600x as i've only got a 1800x ryzen 7 right now, will the motherboard be able to handle the new equipment? thanks

Hi

The B350 chipset does not support Ryzen 5000 cpu's. You would need a B550 or X570 board.

The Asus B550-F could potentially have issues with the 2.5G LAN as the Z490 boards have had issues with that same thing. As for the X570-P it is an ok board, but the rear is a bit barren.

If it was me I would look at the ones below.

So any of these would work fine even with a 5950X. A few are out of stock on here, but if you are shopping around you might find them in stock elsewhere.

The Mortar is the only one that is Micro ATX, but it will still fit in an ATX case. There is a wifi and non wifi version. The other boards are all ATX.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £887.44 (includes shipping: £12.60)
