Watch Dogs code with my 3070? Is this email a mistake?

So I got this email today. I was expecting the Geforce Now promotion code, but not Watch Dogs. But also, despite what this email says, it only contains one code. I ordered MSI 3070 Ventus 2x, and it was shipped today (hopefully many of you have similar luck). This email accompanied that news.

So, my assumption is that this email is mistaken. Anyone care to confirm that?

U probably only got the GeForce now code. My email for my 3080 had both codes and another set of instructions for watchdogs.

Mistake on their part. They sent the right code, but not in the right email (likely since originally the Watchdogs codes were also going to be with the 3070s, but Nvidia pulled that when the shortages started).

The code you got will just be the Geforce Now one.

That makes sense. I'm not too upset since I didn't expect to get the game with this card, but this is still a clumsy error that could really confuse some folks.

But if your original reciept says you have it then they should provide it as that is a contract i believe,

Congrats on getting your gpu shipped, can I ask when you bought your gpu as I purchased the Palit on launch day and never got a code?

Same got mine on launch day and never received a code but I order at like 3pm.

I assume he was in the very first orders and was just waiting for stock.

@tommybhoy and @iamtheoneneo have your orders shipped? Because the email with the codes doesn't get sent out till after the shipping email for your card does.

If it has shipped it could just be because they only have 500 codes for GeForce Now with the 3070, and they are sending them based on order time rather than when they ship since they don't have enough. (I'm curious how they will handle the 3080s if they pass the number of codes they have before the end of the month and the deal stops working, since unless they got extra codes more people were promised one that they had).

My receipt time is 1.55 pm launch day, received the card the next day, the 500 codes explanation isn't good enough imo, other places are taking orders with Nv codes still going out so it's pretty suspect that they have still got keys to give as they have sold as many as here if not more.

Second and likely last time I've been on the receiving end of bait and switch here @Ocuk.

Have you chased them about it? Sounds like you should have got one so it'd be worth posting in the customer service forum to ask why you were missed. Worst case they don't give you one, but with one of the earliest orders possible I can't see how you didn't qualify, and I can't imagine they've actually managed to ship out enough cards to run out of codes yet.

I haven't chased them, my last CS didn't go to well with them so I haven't bothered.

I was actually buying elsewhere when I noticed OcUK were doing COD codes so changed to buy from here.

Last time was a Noble chair with lumber/neck cushions in the store page/product vid, then changing description after purchase but getting caught out with many forum users about it-their solution was disassemble it and return it at my cost for a refund.

I only let it go as because of loose stitching in a logo, I got a £50 refund.

That isn't great. Honestly if I was you I'd still just post asking in the Customer Service section. Not like you have anything to lose, you either get a code or don't, and it'll take maybe 5 minutes of your time to make the post.

I know but, I'll only get angry if they say ~'tough luck' and get them to take the card back.

True. And honestly, I'm not sure I see the use for GeForce Now anyway... I can't really imagine wanting to stream from it to home, because, well, have the graphics card anyway. So what, are they expecting us to use if to play on our phones when not home? That doesn't sound a great experience.

I bought mine around 1:35 launch day. Though I added it to my basket very successfully a while before that, but had to wrestle with the site and then my bank to get the order to go through, so if it's based on when orders entered basket, that's even sooner.
