I'm guessing the audio jack on PS controllers is for very easy to drive headphones/IEMs only?
Anyone?

I wouldn't bother with the audio jack on the controller, sound quality was awful on the DS4 controller and I doubt it will be different with the DualSense.Anyone?
Have to disagree with "if you ain’t up to no good, there’s nothing to worry about". Would you mind if someone installed a camera in your bathroom and broadcast it to the internet? Nothing to worry about after all. In the case of the DualSense mic it has a mute button so it shouldn't be a big issue.I’m very wary of anyone who’s so against their conversations possibly being heard by another company.
I just don’t get what the big deal is. Surveillance is everywhere nowadays. Every single phone call we make can be listened to by other agencies or the like. We live in that kind of world now. As long as you ain’t up to no good, there’s nothing to worry about. Just deal with it.
Mine was taken over 6 weeks ago.I wouldn't expect any payments for PS5s to be taken for at least another week.
Cheers, was afraid of that. I'll look into another solution.I wouldn't bother with the audio jack on the controller, sound quality was awful on the DS4 controller and I doubt it will be different with the DualSense.
It’s not that bad on the ds4 IMO but does drain the battery quickly. Serves a purpose and is very convenient. Not as good as a proper headphone amp of course but it’s perfectly viable IMOCheers, was afraid of that. I'll look into another solution.

Just checked mine, and still on track for 19th
Personally I wouldn't go by the Amazon delivery date until it's actually left the depot/with the courier. I always use free delivery on my amazon stuff, placed an order on the Tuesday 3rd November, said it would be delivered on Sunday using free delivery, it came yesterday.Amazon are just awful.
Mentioned few posts back noticed my delivery changed from 19th to 20th. Tried speaking to a few people, they all tell me I've changed it and there's nothing they can do to change it back. haha company of Amazons size, I think its a case of they cba to do it.
I found the quality to be extremely bad on the DS4. I hope this is an area they make a huge improvement on.
Eh ? It’s been like that since pre ordering went live

The only issue I've had on one of my ds4's was that the rumble motor feels like it's going through I have had it for around 5 years. It works but the rumble effect feels like it rattles and doesn't disengage properly.
I still feel the quality on Sony/Nintendo controller is way better than Microsoft though. My first Xbox controller has an intermittent click at certain angles on one of the thumbsticks. Id have returned it but it came with the console so didn't want the hassle for a minor-ish gripe. The general build of the Xbox controller feels hollow/tinny and the material quality poor next to the switch pro/ds4 though.
In fact the dpad on my Xbox Windows controller is also broken on one of the diagonals. I suspect it was like this when I bought it but I didn't notice it until I'd had it a year.
Microsoft's quality control in general is honestly shocking IMO!
Hopefully the Dualsense will be reliable but it does sound like there's an lot of fancy tech in it which could go wrong ! The initial reviews seem positive though.

Like the Xbox Series X, the PlayStation 5 is also able to quick resume a game if you turn it off and come back to it later. Although the Switcher icon that some noticed on the Home menu is basically just a history button, showing you the last few games or apps that you used and starting them up from scratch if you want to play them again.
I'm curious how many firmware updates will be issued for 'Stability' when both consoles come out.A wee bit disappointed that the "Quick Resume" on PS5 is exactly the same on PS4. But I'd rather have that than the buggy implementation that the Xbox is currently experiencing.
See my edit. As I suspected, load times are in the seconds region. Who needs quick resume when the game loads in 10 seconds?A wee bit disappointed that the "Quick Resume" on PS5 is exactly the same on PS4. In the review below, the MM loading leak is confirmed, it takes under 2 seconds from main game menu to load into the game from a save game, so if the rest of the leak was accurate, that's 9 seconds from a cold launch. Which is just as fast as quick resume...
You don't need quick resume, if your loading speeds from cold are a few seconds![]()
