I should probably go to the monitor thread, but just thinking about it on my coffee break was wondering where to look for a 4k budget option, if there is one? Currently have a BenQ Zowie, but will probably need to upgrade for the Series X at some point down the line...

Not much budget wise at 4k if you're looking to go above 60hz.

2.0 supports 1440p120 and most of Samsung's 2019 range including my Q70R support it (along with VRR, ALLM, and HDR). That's all you need anyway as all AAA games running at 120 fps will not run at 4k.

Ah that's the same TV I've got, are you going to have it on 1440p/120 hz all the time or play it by ear and change when you know the game supports it?

I'm still bitter that EARC hasn't been added to the tv like Samsung suggested they would.

I think the LG27GN950 gets a good review, not sure how much you want to spend though.
