Confused on Destiny 2 though, I thought it was getting a next gen patch and thus can take advantage of new SSD speeds too?
We've already seen Miles Morales loads 7 seconds to menu and 2 seconds to game - a game which is obviously designed to take advantage of the SSD. I want to see comparisons between PS4 games loading on PS4 and the same game on PS5.
Yeah this is what I am hoping too. I guess with something like Destiny it is an always online game so it's not just about loading assets.
Just bought that for £45. Will play and flip it within a few days.Spiderman MM looks great, looking forward to getting my hands on it! Haven't played a Spidey game since the OG Xbox![]()
Will I benefit from the increased framerate and resolution of PS4 games playing them from an external HDD or do they need to be on the internal for that?
I'm not fussed about sticking them on the PS5 SSD for load speed etc.
Yep.
The comparisons I'm more interested in are between PS4 and PS5 loading times as those are the actual tangible benefits people will see.
Yes they need to be on the SSD? or Yes I can benefit from the external?
PS4 games can be run from external drives so they'll perform the same either way.
Just watched Dave2Ds latest video, seems the PS5 is 37db idle and 38db under load.Any mention of noise levels yet?
Don't think Spiderman MM is a full priced game.Getting that FOMO itch over Miles Morales and the Dual Sense controller now.
But still, £450 for the console + £70 for the game (I'd want the enhanced version of the first game too) + £40 for PS+... That's £560. And realistically, I can't see myself buying any other games for the console this year.

You will get double scaling, one of these 2 depending on your monitor's support for 4k:Just read the ps5 doesn’t support 1440p native so will it look bad on my 1440p monitor ?
