I've decided to re live one of my fondest gaming experiences on XB 360 but now on PC. Mass Effect

The "Mass Effect Legendary Edition" has been rated in South Korea. And Jennifer Hale (voice of FemShep) is this morning teasing something for November 7th.
I've been keeping an eye on this for awhile now since the rumours started. I'm really looking forward to it and hope they actually put effort into it. The biggest problem with remastering the trilogy is the first game. The second and third games play fantastically well but could benefit from the expected updates, i.e. hi-res textures, updated lighting, 60fps (at least), better controller support, and faster loading.

As for the first game, it needs way more attention. The biggest problems are the UI/inventory system and the combat. They basically need completely overhauling which I imagine would need the environments to be altered to work with a proper cover system, and character movement would need to be sharpened up because it's way too slow and clumsy. The game had a big issue with texture streaming and pop-in (even on modern PCs) that needs to be fixed, and also tweaks to the Mako. Oh and the loading times... :o

Also while I don't like the ending of the trilogy (to put it nicely), I personally think it's best if they just leave it at this point... unless they hire Drew Karpyshyn to come in and write a proper ending, one that the series deserves. That would blow my mind :D

Just hoping there is at least controller and ultrawide support for all three games.

Tried to play years ago to see what the hype was about, but I got about half way and gave up. Like everyone else, the Mako was tedious (and the side quests on the huge station, too much running around). But once the action got going, I started to enjoy the main storyline. I might restart again this winter. Any recommended mods?

It is official: https://blog.bioware.com/2020/11/07/happy-n7-day-4/

Also hints at a new Mass Effect game.

I enjoyed the original games but not sure I will bother with the remaster. It doesn’t feel like that long since I played them.
It's a little concerning they don't mention changing aspects of the first game because it really needs it. I'm hoping that's what "updating technical features" means. Still though, I'm happy they're doing it and it'll be easier to play now in high resolution with no more mods and tweaks needed to make it run and play properly.

You'll be better off waiting for the remaster at this point because modding the original trilogy is tedious as hell. Hopefully good mods like the Expanded Galaxy Mod will eventually be brought across to the Legendary Edition.

Great news!

No mention of ultrawide or gamepad support (for ME1) yet, hope these are included.
