I can't believe there is so much chat over BC load times. Big deal, they may patch it they may not but at least they run really well. The actual PS5 games are rapid and will be faster than the XS.

Getting both so really not fussed in all the 1 upping.

There’s clearly an issue with the BC games with load times and the new IO on ps5. Won’t be long before it’s ironed out and al games load as fast as MM
So without getting into the VS debate, patching old games probably won’t jus make them as fast as miles morales...faster yes.

I've never seen the release of a new gen be so bogged down with what BC is doing.

I'm guessing it's because MS have gone in on BC (they don't seem to have much else to show at the moment!) And Sony have got it but it isn't the headline feature?

It is interesting.

There is a post on gamefaqs, saying launch is worst for ages for microsoft no games on launch.

I replied its the biggest gaming library ever on a launch as all of xbox one plus 360 BC games are a massive gaming library.

To me I see BC as a boon, but there is people out there who only care about new games, and even some who think exclusives are still a good thing, and will judge consoles on their exclusives.

Think I might be ready to get one next June or so. None of the games so far interest me, though I haven't been looking into it really.

So after all the going on how it's going to be super fast at loading, it's actually the slowest. That's just funny.

the slowest? What?

aye in BC mode but has better FPS on most older games because of chequerboard.

Honestly it's all so negligible it's barely worth the energy mentioning it, although I understand it's part of the fun for some users. I'm not going to play a last gen game on the XSX over PS5 because of a 20s loading time difference. The HDR and FPS differences maybe.

I don't recall any of the souls series having difficulty modes?
No you're probably right - it's just a norm in most games, but this isn't a normal game :D

I think I'm settled on my games for launch, going to get Miles Morales ultimate edition on digital, with 16% off top up vouchers that makes it £59 for 2 full next gen games with Ray tracing. I'll play spiderman remastered before miles morales, so that's probably 35hrs just for the main story missions, and miles morales has abilities that are only unlocked in a 2nd playthrough. It'll be nice to keep the first true next gen games I'll play on the PS5 too.

Then Horizon forbidden West complete edition for £16, and lastly the PS+ games, many many hours of days gone, God of war etc etc to play there!

Will pick up no man's sky if I see it on sale too.

Im still undecided on terms of what to buy at launch. I didn't really enjoy the last Spiderman game on PS4 so I'm not that keen on the sequel despite the lush graphics and ray tracing goodness. Didn't really enjoy the whole swing through the city traveling nor the dodge/hit button press combat mechanics.

At the moment I'm thinking either Demon's Souls or Call of Duty: cold war. If Demon's Souls was £50 I'd have pre-ordered that but I'm still struggling to come to terms with the current £70 price tag!

I assume you mean Horizon Zero Dawn Complete as we don't even have the sequel yet :D

Agree with you @silvagti, the dodge/hit combat is very dull for me.
