As the title says just a bit lost on what to do in terms of components and/or a fix to my annoyance.

As of two days ago I was playing Apex pretty fine and all of a sudden my screen froze and I got an error "Machine Exception". Never seen before so I knew that it was something I shouldn't ignore. Ever since I can't boot and I've pretty much put my pc back together somewhat 3 times in the last 24 hours just to figure things out and I've found that one of my ram sticks was dead but still get the ab error code.

Also would like to mention that while I was putting my build back together and finally switched on I heard a loud noise and it sounded like the PSU and I got hit with a constant restart but I seem to have fixed the issue with the wiring.

Any help would be appreciated.
Asrock extreme4 z77 is the mobo
System is pretty old but current situations doesn't allow such luxury of a complete build

Yeah I can change settings like nothing is wrong I've noticed now that you mention being inside the bios that none of my hdd/ssds are shown now could this be because of my error and my system is still in corrupt state or more to it?

Can I show videos/images on these forums? Would be brilliant in my circumstance might give more of an in depth showing of what's wrong.

Yes but you have to upload the to a hosting site first. Then copy the link and use the buttons by the smiley face to post.

I wonder if there's something wrong with your power supply as you said your heard a loud pop and now no hard drives are detected

I'm generally hoping that it is the PSU and nothing else as stated one of my ram sticks died too but nothing else seems to be dodgy as I can see do you think the PSU has a high chance of this? Baring in mind the PSU was bought in 2013/14 and honestly if it is its done me absolute wonders over the years.

No worries on that one I'll figure this out tomorrow I've been searching these forums and they seem to be top notch on general pc advice and more. Appreciate the help.

It could be but like anything it's a case of trial and error, could be a faulty motherboard. Having no hard drives detected it's going to reboot.

Check all the cables to the hard drives both power and sata cables

Bit of an update before I head to bed and start the trial and error once again tomorrow to finally fix the problem. I have put my GPU back into my system to boot it up with my monitor along with unplugging and plugging my drives back in. My GPU fans are now not budging and monitor not turning on big yikes

It does sound like either the PSU or the motherboard really...

If you unplug everything essential to try and lower the power demand and see if it detects an SSD then?

What model is your PSU?

I'll do that within the next half hour the PSU in question is a CX750M.

Would like to add that I've also taken the cmos battery out and waited etc.

Update: Pretty much disconnected everything other than CPU/PSU and my SSD with the OS installed. Goes straight to UEFI/Bios like it used to did a few looking around but not many have the same issue as me or they simply just did an RMA which I can't do and I'd rather figure this out for future reference(s). Any help going forward is much appreciated my brain is absorbing everything as I go. Thanks.

If they rma the board and get a new one and it works then that's where the fault is, so basically your stuck.
That is true but at the same time it could be the mobo and the psu or just one and I'd like to figure out as much as possible to pinpoint what one or both and that'll help determine if I just buy a while new build completely instead. I've also attached an image on the main message maybe you have some light.

Can't see any image in your first post

you're saying that the SSD still wasn't detected in the BIOS despite removing all non-essential components?

To me that suggests its the motherboard. SSD's dont require any power in the grand scheme of things so I doubt its your PSU.
