Wouldn't say it's long myself, I don't believe for a second we will see GT7 that earlier based on Devs history of releasing every GT late

Yep, no GT has been on time and GT Sport was the first one I passed on since Assetto Corsa.

I meant more on the hdmi 4 port which has higher bandwith, i was hoping we might get 4k/120 @ 4.4.2 or 4.4.4 rather than 4.2.0

Ill be able to tell tomorrow when my 3090 turns up anyway.

All TVs are 4:2:2. Blu-Ray is technically 4:2:0 but the players output them to 4:2:2. Only the top end sets, both TV and players can usually output 4:4:4 but there is usually a flaw somewhere.

Are you sure? that sounds pretty bad.

When I was capturing ff7 remake using 4:2:2 the solid red's were horrid. Surely people would notice that?

The way I read it is that they'll be releasing new side plates for it as well.
Yeah, they're a bit more 'vague' when it comes to the console colours though:

Will PS5 be available in other color schemes?

There won’t be additional colors or designs available for either of the PS5 models at launch.

Does the DualSense wireless controller come in black (or any other color)?

In the future, other colors will become available. But there are no announcements to share at this time.

That says to me that different colours for the console might be coming, at some point. But there will definitely be different colours of DualSense.

Just had an email from Game saying they will have limited launch day stock available for online ordering (nothing in store obviously).

Any idea anyone what time I should set my alarm for?

Massive FAQ posted by Sony.

https://blog.playstation.com/2020/11/09/ps5-the-ultimate-faq/

Interesting entries:

There will be other colours of Dual Sense controller coming.
Transferring PS5 games to an external drive is being investigated for a future update
8K output will be enabled in a future update

The games not been able to be cold stored was a horrible omission, their OS design team does seem flawed, as the ps4 pro has some stupid limitations as well like not been able to move recorded clips/screenshots to extended storage.

Also how sony consider 8k higher priority than 1440p I would love to know.
