Amazon app says arriving today but no tracking.

Got email from Amazon at 9.15am this morning saying Delay in dispatch and will update in the next business day with more information.....

No impressed -- Amazon have never let me down with day 1 releases etc.

What's the most graphically impressive game on gamepass? I know only a few of them have been optimised so far but even Xbox one s/X games should run really well on series s/X.

I'm tempted to nip to the shops to but a series s but I plan to stick to gamepass only (which I already have).

Was going to try the forza games as they always look good.

Gears 5 looks amazing on current gen, if its optimised im sure it would beone of the best at the moment on game pass.

Forza Horizon 4 for me, albeit that was on a One X as I don't have my Series yet. Its absolutely gorgeous.

Gears 5 looks good as well but im not a fan of the game.
FH4 and gears 5
Thanks. According to the gamepass app gears 5 is already optimised. I'm sure Forza will be soon.

Will be back in an hour or so hopefully with a series s.

Not sure what has happened to Amazon. I had a venom twin charging dock due today which I preordered months back and that has been delayed till tomorrow too. :/

It's not really ideal when I put in a note of interest in January with Shopto for the Series X and that I've taken this week as leave. I also have a PS5 order with them, so I'm not best pleased.

No doubt. I would be disappointed as well, but it is what it is. I don't know how many pre-orders there are but I am sure tens of thousands of people are hoping to get theirs today, too. Some will slip into tomorrow and probably Thursday as well. It's not just consoles, there are new game releases across generations, headphones and accessories, all kinds of stuff adding to the load. I can see the sense in Sony allowing games and accessories to be delivered a week before the console to try and alleviate some of this pain.

I have a PS5 pre-ordered for next Thursday and I've also taken time off. So, fingers crossed. If it doesn't show up I'll be disappointed but whatever, I'll just use the PS4 for another day or two.

I've said it many times on pre order threads, Amazon have never been reliable for release day items in my experience. No idea why they can't seem to handle it when other retailers don't seem to have a problem. In their mind, via live chat, Friday is an acceptable delivery date (lol).

I have the dock which still says delivering today but isn't dispatched, luckily my Xbox is though.

Things just got weird. Just had another text from Argos saying my pre order is on its way but being delivered by UK Mail!

Same tracking number as DHL though.

Googled it. Uk Mail part of DHL.

Gah. Thought I might have benefitted from a system glitch for a minute and had 2 series x's show up today! :p

No such luck. Im still happy if just the one I ordered arrives though.

As an aside - I have a 4k 10bit hdr TV. Its not posh and doesent support high refresh rates.

Do I need to use the hdmi cable that comes with the xbox, or will a normal hdmi cable suffice?

Nothing from argos for me still.

But my amazon play and charge kit just came.

Someone with the same just got a delivering today email, so still some slim hope, Im in same situation as you, if you go on amazon and orders click invoice, mine has packing slip with shipment date of the 9th, so its all bit confusing, perhaps the tracking is screwed for some.

I got a delay email for the charging dock, but I have since got a dispatch email so its definitely coming tomorrow.

I'm sure the included batteries will last me till then :p

It comes with a HDMI 2.1 cable, so if you want all the fancy stuff turned on at once (4k, HDR, 120fps) you'll need to use it, or a similar spec cable. If you don't need all that bandwidth you can reuse your old cable.

It’s always better to book off the week after launch, that way you avoid disappointment and wasting your holidays.
