RYZEN 5000 SERIES NOW ONLINE - 5950X, 5900X, 5800X & 5600X COMING NOV 5TH AT 5PM **NO COMPETITORS**

got a mail from a competitor this AM. my position in line for 5950 is 500+ (out of 551). my credit card went through at 2:08pm on that day... :-(
Same, I went through at 14:07... apparently a lot of orders went through from 14:05 -> 14:08.... FML!

From the other thread, folks!

Hi there

Still no update on the big shipments due this week but the following is coming:

5800X - 20pc from official distributor
5950X - 35pc 5950X due from none official and as such they cost us a lot more, but those who pre-ordered prices are always honoured, these are due end of week / next week.
5900X - 85pv from none official distributor and these cost us about £10 more than what we have sold them for, but were happy to lose £10 a CPU to get some customers their orders ASAP.
5800X - There was 50pc none official stock but these were £100 higher than what we sold the stock for and unfortunately we cannot afford to lose £100 per CPU.
5600X - 25pc none official distributor, again we lose on these but its only a few quid so happy to do so.

Our official stock of 300pc 5900X and 100pc each of 5800X and 5600X is still on its way to master distributor ear marked as this Wednesday so all being well will be with us this week and these CPU's do not cost us any additional premium. :)

Something clearly fell over on their website, unlike the RTX launch I didn't get my order properly processed until the next day. I'm apparently at the back of the 5800x queue despite ordering in the first 10 minutes.... none of these sites can even handle 100s of orders in that timeframe.

Great to see this level of demand for the new amd chips. Ordered a 5900x Friday evening , will be my first amd cpu since the Athlon fx days.:D Will the queue position emails still be going out , or was that only for Thursday/Friday orders ?

They certainly cant. Maybe OcUK and competitors should just outsource high demand laugh day sale items to the big players who have stock systems and hosting that doesnt crumble when hundreds order at the same time

5950X position 227 elsewhere. Was at checkout 2pm on the dot, but didn't get order through until 2:09

TBF at least I managed to get a pre-order. I have failed consistently for the Xbox and Ps5. Even these massive sites can't handle demand

Friday order you say, maybe you’ll get one in 2022, maybe not :D

Position 58 mate, you?

EDIT just seen your post above.
Yea there was a significant increase over the next 5 mins, either that or it was due to the mixup outlined in their email. My order was at 2:10.

O well good number for you, I don't think AMD will take too long getting through some numbers worldwide.

Hopefully my friend, demand for these CPUs is very high but that's what performance leadership does.

I placed my order at 2:39pm and got my 5900X on Saturday. Something must have gone wrong with your order, the payment probably authorized super late because there's no way such an early order wouldn't have shipped by now otherwise.

You were right, seems due to the Overclocker's server issues, my order ended up with no address details so they put the order on auto hold and didn't tell me. God knows how long they would have kept my money without letting me know that nothing would happen.
They say if I provide them with the address details, they will put me at the back of the queue, estimated to receive next year....
Safe to say that I'm not the happiest.

So if anyone else ordered on Thursday but didn't get a queue number, I'd certainly chase it up.

*EDIT*
I'm not sure if the support guy didn't know my queue number and so just gave me a huge ETA, or they actually don't expect more than 3 CPUs in the next month, but I got my queue number as 4. Hopefully that means I'll get it next week, if the big shipment ever turns up.
