Mine arrived about 25 mins ago but I've got a sleeping baby on me right now, so I can't go and get it from outside just yet! I do hope it doesn't rain!

100% of people need the HDMI cable and power lead, but how many wire up their XBoxes? 10%? Maybe 20%?

Funnily enough, on Sunday I completely rewired my Internet so the router is in the TV stand. This gen I intend to be wired.

Always been WiFi before, but I felt that it would be a good idea given he increase in game size and my tendency to play online shooters

But yeah - I reckon most people are on WiFi as to be fair modern Internet connections with WiFi are pretty good.

FH4 on download. Time for breaky.

Hope you guys all get yours ASAP!

Mine has rocked up, the UPS driver wasn’t too impressed “worst day of the year for us this” :p

Opened it and the receipt says Xbox One S, to which I replied “NO!!!!!” Thankfully it’s an X in the box

Ordered an Xbox Series X and PS5 as I couldn't decide which I wanted (still unsure tbh!). Xbox is being delivered today but is anyone else finding themselves tempted to sell back on again? There aren't any games I'm desperate to play just yet (albeit I'd like to play COD/Dirt5) and the premium they're fetching at the moment is tempting to pocket...

Man I wish I had kept my preorder in place now! I refuse to pay a premium to all these people on eBay selling one off for stupid money...

I need a longer HDMI cable for 4k 120Hz HDR. Literally a tight rope using the supplied one and the one going through the wall isn't good enough.

Ok wow just went on the game website to see if there was a slight chance to nab a series x.
Placed in a que for about 15mins, my turn came...sweaty palms as last time it crashed at that point. Website said add to basket, I did, went through to the payment screen and entered my payment details expecting it to crash out on me.
BUT NOPE IT WENT THROUGH!!!! And I now have a series x in order. Just checked my account details on game to make sure and lo and behold it is there :D. Only issue is that I’ve been charged £10 for delivery but at this moment I just do not care, I just want the damn console lol.

Haven’t received any emails saying my order has been confirmed so I’m not going to get too carried away just yet. As anything could happen ie they could cancel it but I hope to god they don’t.

So if anyone wants a series x then get on game and hopefully you may get lucky. I didn’t expect that nearly 4 hrs later I would be able to nab one.

Picked my Series X up from GAME about 9.30, no queue so nice and quick. Still plenty in bags ready for collection.

A lot smaller than I was expecting. Feels quality though. Pad feels lovely alittle smaller.

Only issue is the disk drive doesn't sound right at all :(

Install modern warfare from disk and it's rattling, buzzing it's working but doesn't sound healthy.

I'll try a blue ray later and another game disk when assassin's creed Valhalla turns up.

Ethernet cable :D - to be fair, mine will be hooked up because I want to Stream to my PC, but I don't think they'd put a 25m cable in the box.

My X has arrived, at my workplace. Just need it to make its way to me now.

The streaming is still laggy on the new consoles, and a bit blurry even on maximum detail. I'm glad I got an S for the office to go along with the X in the living room.

I asked the question earlier about Dolby Atmos, it's free for speaker usage. £14 for headset.

Initial impressions:

1. Very quiet, UI is so much snappier than the One X
2. Download speeds are great, im maxing my 100Mb Virgin connection which my One X never did over Ethernet
3. Setup super easy, expansion card plug and play

Downloading AC:V, FH4 and Borderlands 3 as they're all Series optimised so will add gaming impressions later :)
