Gigabyte X570 AORUS XTREME - End of Life???

Increased the Ram overclocking headroom from 4400 to 5000+Not sure what else.

That's a bit of a red herring about ram speed, that was also done from the engineering sample review boards to version 1 board. removal of caps alongside the dim slots showed on version 1 review boards also. the big difference is adding a thunderbolt port where there was only solder pads on version 1.
either version of the board is very good, if you want thunderbolt, then you will want version 1.1 if not version 1 release boards are the same for speed and perform exactly the same as version 1.1 boards.

Rev 1.1 of the Aorus Xtreme has a Thunderbolt header and supports RAM up to 5200MHz (O.C.)
Rev 1.0 lacked the Thunderbolt header and supported RAM up to 4400MHz (O.C.)

I miss the days when you could simply buy whatever you wanted, nowadays everything is out of stock or on pre-order and you pay your money upfront and get in a queue for weeks.... months.

Here are pics of the early release board and newer board. you can see visible traces for memory on the lower picture and 2 caps by the dim sockets. the top board is also a rev 1 board with revised memory trace layout and no caps and no visible trace lines from dimm's.

the top board is still a revision 1 board but is missing the thunderbolt header only. when gigabyte updated the mem trace layout and caps it didn't change the revision number, it only changed it for the thunderbolt header. if purchasing you want the updated memory config board with out the caps. I would be surprised if you could even buy the early release rev 1 boards now with the caps, but you might find old stock some where i guess.

Great info thanks :)

ordered and paid for one. i raised a webform to asked re. eta and end of life. was told no eta. end of life wasn't confirmed or denied. but told if you want to cancel then do so. ofc i dont want to cancel. as will lose place in Q. so hanging in there. yes pandemic so similar situ with all orders. 3090 and 5950 etc etc.. if anyone has news please update. really want this mobo.

I am getting very very annoyed with this board - got this PC built by Overclockers and it has a 3900X in it right now - here is the RAM i am using - usually set to 1.37v in BIOS

Its rock stable on BIOS F22 - on there it will run all day long with XMP profile 1 enabled and goes perfectly well. But with a 5900X on order I need to get it to the latest AMD AGESA ComboV2 1.1.0.0 C for it to work, turns out there is a bug of sorts introduced in F30 and beyond BIOSes that means my PC will randomly reboot - just insta powers off and on by itself. Everything is auto apart from the RAM voltage in the BIOS same as F22 it will not work. PSU is fine its an AX850 unit. I've tried every combination of flashing the BIOS wiping all the DMI data everything and I cannot stop it from just turning off.

RAM details below - on latest windows update - latest chipset release from AMD - tried everything it will not stop rebooting itself - yet on F22 its rock stable.

Here is RAM link - any ideas - also @GIGA-Man is there any support I can tap into - I really like this board but I have to say this is not a nice feeling where I may just have to get rid of it to support Zen 3.

*** Just to update - it could reboot after 10 mins - or 7 hours but since the latest BIOS F31e is on - I cannot get 12 hours on time without a random restart

Hi,

I wanted that mobo, too. So I asked Gigabyte support directly.
They told me that it's no longer produced :(.

Quote from German support:
Sehr geehrter Kunde,

This really needs confirmation, so disappointed if so, what a short lifespan especially now, any ideas on the new top of the line boards? hopefully there will be an uber e-atx board

New bios for this board, F31H adds AMD smart memory access for 6000 series GFX cards.

I have had this issue, but found using the latest drivers for the chipset from gigabyte along with sound drivers with the Latest RGB fusion software stopped random reboots. AMD AGESA can be flaky for sure. hopefully final bios's soon

snagged one today boys and girls finally just been delivered by Amazon all looks good rev1.1

thos two revisions got completely different circuits around the socket you can see the lines in PCB. it looks like the connections to the RAM slots are in the top layer PCB as opposed to be embeded deeper. maybe it is to facilitate the additon of capacitors
