Anyone get notification from currys yet? Preordered within the first hour and paid straight away when they asked.

Will be a bit worried if I dont hear anything on Monday.

Check your spam folder. Mine went in there.

Emails came out on the 22nd October and give you 28 days to complete the order.

He's already paid, and it wasn't 28 days to pay, it was pay and use the preorder code before the end of the 1st November.

Mine is still at 'order received', I believe the next step is 'order confirmed' and the xbox guys started seeing this happen on the Saturday before launch, so only 2 days (not Inc Sunday) before the release date. We'll probably see the same on Tuesday, maybe Monday.

Have they taken payment? You got a tracking email?

My mate is getting alittle concerned, they haven't taken payment yet or sent any tracking info etc.

I ordered from smyths .. money taken at 6.42pm yesterday and tracking email sent today at 1.42am

It's being delivered by DPD and I have done as someone else suggested above and changed the delivery date to Tuesday 17th Nov ..let's see if it comes on 17th or on 19th lol

People tried that with the Xbox and they didn’t arrive early.

Well... mine did but that wasn’t from changing the delivery date with DPD.

Ah that fine...it was free to amend anyway so all good, I just happened to be off work on Thursday and the children will be at school/college so I'll have some time to myself lol

Anyone getting a tracking number in the next few days, don't go thinking you're getting it early, they'll be processing the thousands of orders over the next 3 days with the consoles either being collected on Wednesday or being sent straight from the distributor.

A few might get lucky but you only have to look at the xbox thread to see how many did.

Yep most likely. If I ever feel the need to change the colour of mine I'm going to just buy a can of plastidip spray. I used it on my car interior plastic trim a few years ago and it's great - easy to apply with good coverage and if you don't like it, you just peel it off as it's basically rubber and it leaves no trace. No reason why you wouldn't be able to spray the PS5 plates perfectly with it and it's completely reversible so can't really lose.

Even though I've waited 84 years for PS5, I really want to hold out for a limited edition model that isn't white and hopefully increased SSD space. It took 12 months for it to happen with the PS4 20th Anniversary model and then six months after that for Batman Arkham Knight. I wonder if they'll do one for Horizon Forbidden West in the summer.

Seems a bit pointless waiting on a specific colour/increased storage when your can easily change the side panels of the system and add an M2 SSD to increase storage?

It's going to be easter before they become freely available anyway, I reckon.

Haven't you already got one ordered? I'd make the most of that tbh, I doubt there'll be any model variations for a at least a year, maybe 2.

Different colour side panels/dualsense and the ability to add an internal SSD will come well before that.

No, it's not even on my radar yet. I want Xbox Series S first.

To be honest, I feel a bit dismayed because consoles are not supposed to make you feel like you're missing out but my TV doesn't have 1000 nit HDR nor 120Hz. So I can't even utilize these features.

Zero confidence on my Amazon order turning up after they sneakily changed my date from 19th November to Friday 20th November last week without even letting me know, tried multiple times with customer service who just refuse to help and basically say it will arrive either November / December - despite me pre ordering within seconds.

That’s strange. I pre ordered the day they went live (17th sept I think it was) and my order is still on course for Thursday.
