Hi, I'm new to this forum and although not new to using computers I have mostly stayed away from its insides... Until now.

The PC have worked fine until it didn't at all. Nothing start up. The only thing that happens when I connect the power is that the power and reset buttons on the motherboard is blinking. From what I understand from the motherboards manual. It should be displaying information about what is wrong, but it doesn't.

My first thought was the PSU. But after reading that it could be checked by shortcutting two pins to check its fan, I now believe it is ok. I got the PSU fan to be working by shortcutting this and a few other fans started too... I have also tried to start it without the GPU without any reaction.

Am I right in suspecting the PCU or the Motherboard itself? And if so, is there anything more I could try out to find out which one is gone?

My system is as follows:
PSU: Corsair HX 750W PSU
CPU : Intel Core i7-4770K
2 screencard in sli: 2x MSI GeForce GTX 760 Gaming 2GB PhysX
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO, Socket-1150
Memory: Kingston DDR3 HyperX Beast 16GB

I would really appreciate if anyone could spare some time to help me figure this out.

Regards Are Gjerde

I may have found out that the PSU is the defect part after all :-) NO + - 12 Volt only 3.3 and 5! Hopefully I haven't damaged anything new by fiddling too much in there ...
