*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Genuinely good advise, we all get het up but you cant threaten strangers over a product purchase and in the modern world you just dont know whats real or not.

Remember the good old days when you fell out with someone you could have a good fair fist fight and have a beer together after? Some of my longest term friends started out with a punch in a pub years ago.
I mean kinda worked better than todays knife in the back kill kill kill plague.
I've re-read it and this guy is just trying to sound hard. God help his kid and any woman in his life. I've got some screenshots and blocked him. Thugs are never punctual but no-one has turned up yet.

Does anyone know how far the TUF OC queue has moved in the last few weeks? What was your queue position on the 1st email and on the most recent update?
I moved about 100 places in a week (6th-13th Nov), from 1124 to 1013. Though I suspect that was mostly from cancellations. I'm not expecting the card from OCUK this side of the New Year.

And yet every parent company is still shouting "buy this new thing, we've got lots of stock" in their PR at release which is just annoying customers and adding more proof that 2020 has been a god awful year for customers actually wanting tech.

God to intern Angel : Did you sort the 2020's disaster list?
Intern Angel : Ye... What wait did you say 2020's. Did you mean like the whole decade?
God : Yes.... Why? You did not think I meant the year 2020 did you?
Intern Angel : Erm. Shall I pack up my desk now?

Another new week! Who's confident we start to see some real numbers now Asus have acknowledged their telling off?

I know I know...but we can hope!

What are people's thoughts on the Gigabyte Eagle? Been sat looking at one in stock for the past 30mins for £675, but not sure it's the card I really want.

The Eagle is better than a faint hope that sometime in the next 10 years you might receive a better card.

Myself I am happy to wait for the Strix OC because of the MLCC v SP-Cap issue. Eagle has 6 SP-Cap capacitors compared with the 6 MLCC arrays on the Strix and TUF.

Please note it is not such an issue now NVidia nerfed the driver.

No you've been looking at stock that's reserved to someone else and wont be listed as gone until they've gone through checkout. Trust me, there's bots alerting people to that page, so they're gone in seconds.

I would buy. But so close to the AMD launch I was put off. I would have got one and then returned unopened if I managed to get the red team card but I feel that's bad practice, and stopping someone else getting it.

I really want a Strix OC. It's hard to watch multiple 3080's come into stock everyday, knowing you could buy one, but also knowing you'd probably regret it. I want one of the 3x8 pin cards, MSI is a no go and the Gigabyte ones are north of £900. I would settle for a EVGA FTW3 Ultra, but I keep missing them.

Why specifically one of the 3x 8pin cards? There's next to no improvement to power delivery or overclocking headroom compared to the 2x 8pin cards.

Wow this is atrocious, 60 days after release and this is all we are getting in the EVGA queues, 2 out of 5 lines and very small amounts at that, that is shocking

***********EVGA*************

Arriving next week we have a very small amount of:
3080 XC3 Ultra Gaming
3080 FTW3 Ultra Gaming

I would seriously wait for real world usage for Big Navi before making the leap. I have been involved with the PC hardware industry for 30+ years. If I had a pound for every time ATI said they had a game changing card that would wipe away the competition I would have enough to waste on a couple of 3090 OC's from Ebay scalpers. Rarely do they live up to the hype and even when they managed to eek out even a tiny advantage NVidia and 3Dfx before them just released a new bios and/or driver and the advantages were quickly surpassed. Then look at AMD since the days of ZEN. Every iteration took months/years with multiple updates of BIOS and Driver updates before it was even stable much less Intel beating. Just to add that before Zen AMD suffered the same as ATI always did with overhyped pre-release performance figures not living up to the marketing.

I think I'm gonna cancel

Been waiting since release day, got bumped from getting my card (4 shipped i was position 4, but they gave the 4th one to someone else in the queue).

They made up by giving a £20 discount and a an oc gaming surface (big mouse mat) and was told I would be getting my card last week.

Didn't materialise, I think I'm done.
