DidoHarding, the head of NHS Test and Trace and ex-boss of TalkTalk is self-isolating after receiving a notification from the NHS mobile app.

It comes a week after her husband, Conservative MP John Penrose, was told to isolate by the app. (LINK)
It is really quite remarkable how incestuous the beneficiaries of Covid-19 are.

The main stream media should publish an organisation chart showing the interconnectedness of these profiteering spivs

Yeah right, as if

edited to make the point clearer; frankly this Government would seem more at home in some Middle Eastern or African countries.

As to Dido Harding herself, I seem to recall that when TalkTalk's systems were hacked by a couple of teenagers and customer details were taken she said that she didn't really know what was going on - she was rewarded with a seat in the House of Lords for some inexplicable reason.

Well, she would look a bit daft if she didn't heed the advice from the app, considering she's the head of test and trace.

Cummings 2.0 if she ignored it and it somehow got leaked.

What's so surprising about it anyway? Many of the people in these types of roles are still out and about with their work. They aren't stuck working at their dining table in their duds.

I think the point of the thread is more to highlight how the head of Test and Trace happens to have ended up being the partner of a Conservative MP.

Again, something which isn't actually surprising, given our world works on the basis of 'who you know, not what you know'

Edit - and having looked up who she is and her history, it doesn't look like she's got the job off the back of being the partner of an MP, she's well connected enough herself these days by the looks of it.

I got that impression as well but was already aware of what you've said in your edit. I had read up on her when she was initially announced as the head of test and trace, due to the uproar in her being deemed unfit for the role after her time at TalkTalk.

There is a dedicated covid section on this forum that you seem to have missed

And who gives a ****

If the seat in the Lords was a reward for mismanaging a hack that occurred a year after she was given that seat, are we saying there was a bigger conspiracy involved and it was all preplanned by the Tories years in advance?
