Seems to be a bit of an issue across the internet from what I can see, I am experiencing this myself.

Have tried most of the fixes online that I can find but still seem to be stuck around 120fps in Verdansk.

3700x, 3600mhz Ram, Asus Tuf 3080 OC, 850w power supply (2 separate cables attached)

Anyone else having these issues or come across a solution at all?

I read something the other day which did seem to help smooth mine out:
Documents\Call of Duty Modern Warfare\players\adv_options.ini

have a look at: RendererWorkerCount
From what I read - it usually mis sets this (mine was at 4 on my 2600) - I believe you can ammend this to match the number of PHYSICAL cores you have.. so 8 in your case.

Not really rtx 30 related but did help me..

Thanks - I had seen this one and it hasn't helped with the FPS unfortunately :(

I get the same fps at low settings and medium settings using a 1060. 3700x is sat at 20% most of the time.

I personally think it’s something to do with the game itself but I really can’t be bothered reinstalling all 150gb of it on a 80mb connection.

A friend with a 3090 tried a fresh install and it didn't really do anything for him. What did work was OC'ing his 10900k to 5ghz, and running his ram at 4133mhz instead of 3200mhz. He went from 140 to 240 fps in warzone at 1080p.

I changed my ram from 3200 to 3600 but it hasn't really done anything either. As you say its likely the game but its very annoying whatever it is!

Those might help others, but haven't done much for me. Just tried and even with ray tracing on the framerate remains the same!

Hi

I posted something similar here yesterday re my RTX 3080. It seems to get ok TImespy scores 18k+ and I have a 10900k processor that doesn't get anywhere near maxed out. I have a 3440x1440p 144hz monitor and don’t get above 100fps for long particularly in downtown It drops to 90fps sometimes 80fps. It’s the same in black ops Cold War multiplayer some real strange stuff going on it can go as low as 80fps but also can start out at 150fps then slowly overtime drop and drop down to the 80 to 90fps. Turning off and putting to low settings makes little to no difference. Cold War also maxed out my vram as well so who knows my bet is on the game or drivers a lot of people seem to have an issue. Nvidia just released a press release today saying 4 more games have diss and provided some benchmarks they had one for Cold War and claimed 118fps with dlss on and mid 80’s without. I tried it again and got no where near 118fps and their bench was on a 4K monitor which is more intensive than my ultra wide so no idea.

I had massive stuttering on Cold War - turned my Vram down to medium which fixed the problem. However still only getting 160fps @1440p in multiplayer with DLSS off and medium/low settings

Ok I git 120fps mw multiplayer Tonight steady as gpu hit 85% then played Cold War back to 80fps. War zone still down at 90fps cpu throttled at 4.9ghz no turbo boost to 5.3ghz rog motherboard definitely throttling cpu.

What resolution and settings? You’re probably CPU bound? My 10700k at 5.1Ghz and 3080 gets around 180 FPS (drops in some areas though) but it’s CPU bound, the gpu is not at 100% in WZ at 1440p (lowish settings for visibility).

My resolution is 3440x1440 at 144hz. Settings are optimised by nvidia so they are all high pretty much makes no difference to fps if i change them all to lowest still get the same fps. CPU is 10900k so i'd be surprised if that is limiting anything cpu usage hovers around 50-60% during game. I have an asus maximus hero xii board which seems to be throttling the cpu and not letting go over the 4.9 as i never see the supposed standard boost to 5.3 on any cores during any stress test or during gameplay.

Happy to try your settings if you can provide?

Realistically, how much difference is being stuck at 120hz instead of 144hz going to make in terms of your actual performance?

I'm running 2560x1440p @ 240hz - wouldn't mind getting the 200fps the card is capable of.

Switching to a good gaming cpu like the 5600x would help, that 3700x is definitely holding you back a bit. The intel chips fly though for high fps games.
This is what I will likely do - although that's another 300 net to upgrade (new mobo + cpu - selling current)

Sorry, I was referring to the OP with the 3700x. Your frames do seem a bit low though, I used to see brief dips into the 80’s/90’s in areas like downtown as well but either a game or driver update in the last few weeks improved things a lot for me, I also used to have a bit of stuttering but it’s very smooth now. Warzone seems to run differently for lots of people for some reason. I can pm you my settings but they’re not anything special, just YouTube “Warzone visibility settings” or something. The only change I made is AA, I can’t stand it off so I have it on Filmic SMAA 2x and use Nvidia sharpening 80% and ignore film grain 0% to get rid of the blur.

I think your mobo is holding the cpu at 4.9Ghz because it’s seeing load across multiple cores, it’ll only boost to 5.3 for single core loads. You can change this behaviour in the bios, most people opt for an all-core overclock because it’s simpler.

Thanks yes it holds the cores at 4.9 but i do see throttling using intel xtu tool I did put all cores to 5 but again it was held to 4.9 I will look further. Will check the videos thanks. My grpahic score on Timespy is 18000-18300 which seems what you would expect? So it may just be the game there are a few users reproting similar across the internet.

Ok quick update uninstalled warzone and redownloaded still sitting at 90+fps in warzone on optimised or low settings makes no real difference. In multiplayer now sitting at 130-140fps on optimised settings so think the issue is in warzone. Not tried cold war again

On low settings i get between 70 and 100 fps on my 1060. Except the plane cutscene i get 30 to 40.

On all medium settings i get the same.

On enabling nvidia reflex i lose 10 to 15 fps.

Enabling everything else ( aa. Film grain. Bullets ect ) to on or low i get 60 to 90 fps.

For reference i cannot play at my native 2560x1440 resolution at all as even though the fps counter says 70fps i get really bad stutter and jerkyness so i use 1920x1200

Thanks - I have done most of these already. It must be a warzone issue as the card Benches fine - its just frustrating when you shell out so much on a card and get random issues.

When sat at the menu the FPS is around 215, then drops to about 170, then 140 in the lobby and about 130 when running around. I actually have zero performance hit if I turn on ray tracing which is nuts.
