*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Announcement from Nvidia hot off the press:

https://www.pcgamer.com/nvidia-is-as-frustrated-with-the-lack-of-rtx-30-series-stock-as-you-are/

Nvidia CFO Colette Kress notes (via Seeking Alpha) that "given industry-wide capacity constraints and long cycle times, it may take a few more months for product availability to catch up with demand."

We don't have specific sales numbers to hand to confirm launch day inventory, but Nvidia, at least, has indicated that it produced and sold through as many cards as it did back at Turing's launch—for whatever that's worth.

But Kress' statement may allude to further complications behind-the-scenes that could be at least partially to blame for low availability. Specifically, "capacity constraints and long cycle times."

CEO Huang also chimed in with similar concerns and a wish for "more agile supply chains" in the call.

"Our growth is, in the near term, is more affected by the cycle time of manufacturing and flexibility of supply," Huang says. "We are in a good shape and all of our supply informs our guidance, but we would appreciate shorter cycle times—we would appreciate more agile supply chains. But, the world is constrained at the moment. And so, we just have to make the best of it. But, even in that condition, all of that is building for our guidance, and we expect to grow."

Ive been 14th in the queue for an Asus Strix 3080 for about 3 weeks. Even after OC received a small batch of my card my queue position didnt change. Shortly after somebody posted they had recieved theirs from OC even though they were 60+ in the queue.

Queue 38th. If the queue doesn't change in the next update, there's a big chance that I'll likely ask for a refund, and look elsewhere. While I understand that the pandemic is still affecting everything, it is not an excuse that they should be slow in handling customers' demands. I'll give them an extra week. After that, this will be it for me with this website.

I wouldnt rely on Gibbo. Scan has a good tracker system which shows expected shipment dates for every brand of card. Even EVGA and ASUS cards are getting delivered once a week if the tracker is correct. I would pray that overclockers are getting the same volume and frequency of cards in.

3090 from another seller for me then. I'm not waiting for Gibbons update after a 2 month wait...

I started out at 75th in the queue for an Eagle, ordered 20mins after pre orders were up.

I have moved to 11th place in a total of 8 weeks.

Sorry to burst your bubble mate but it's all cancellations.

No Eagles delivered this week :( I’m 15th so we should be on the same delivery :D

I've dropped 100 places in the eagle queue in two weeks. If that pace keeps up I'll have it in 4. Hopefully everyone else is having similar queue drops. Went from 368 to 268 for those wondering. So they clearly seem to be receiving shipments, but I'm curious as to why they are not announcent in the update thread.
That’s just cancellations , as you slide down the doomed queue this slows down.

The gaming X seems to have disappeared completely so maybe OC would give the Gaming X queue folk first refusal on these Suprim cards if they get them in. I'd say they'll be strix OC kind of money. The gaming X is starting to look like it was just a stop gap to get something "premium" looking out the door at launch.

Not optimistic :(
Just makes me sad tbh. Was hoping to get the card to enhance my studies... I hardly even play games! I'm learning how to make them ahaha

I hope that stock comes in soon and all this mess ends. It'd be ace if we all get our cards under our Christmas tree from Father Gibbo but I'm doubtful.

Show me where did I agree to a longer period? It was imposed on me. Me not excercising my right to cancel does not mean I do agree with something. I need to explicitly state I agree.
Seriously, If you want a card that badly - cancel here and buy a scalper card from the auction site. I wanted one that badly, so instead of weeping that's what I did. You'll have your card by this time next week I promise...
