How have you topped it. The 3090 is not worth the money. No matter what. Double price? And in Microsoft Flight Simulator it offersd 1-5fps extra.

That extra £700 is going on another machine or laptop myself.

I aint concerned about maxing out the VRAM on the 3080. I game at 1440p so Id be surprised if it used 10GB

I got the 3080 for little extra as I have a 144hz monitor so id like to get the best out of it as I can.

Flight Sim 20 does at max settings. Shows vram usage in Afterburner. The Crytek bench shows 9.7GB at 4K as well

It's in between 1440p and 4k. I'm assuming 1440p Ultrawide?

3080 should be fine at 10Gb VRAM for that.

If you mean Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 then the 3090 isnt going to give you any improvement. 1-2fps extra. Msfs2020 is more cpu intensive mate. I been reading stuff on this

I've dropped 100 places in the eagle queue in two weeks. If that pace keeps up I'll have it in 4. Hopefully everyone else is having similar queue drops. Went from 368 to 268 for those wondering. So they clearly seem to be receiving shipments, but I'm curious as to why they are not announcent in the update thread.

To be fair on him, he has recently become a father and that's exhausting. Asus should have hired a temporary replacement. That is what a responsible, inclusive business would do, rather than allow work to pile up for someone on paternity leave.

Reason why I went 1440p 144hz screen is because I wanted a higher resolution, faster refresh and have the ability to max out graphics options. The 3080 was because I'll be turning on all the bells and whistles and wanted the extra stream processors to be able to pull it all off.
