Hello! I'm currently gaming on an old and crappy laptop, but lately its been acting up so it's really in need of a replacement. I have no parts that I can take to a new PC, everything has to be newly bought. I have a budget of 1800-2000, but I'd preferably stay around the 1800. What would you recommend me to buy, and are there any things I need to watch out when buying parts? For example parts or brands that don't combine? Thanks for the help in advance!

(I'm an absolute noob at PC building, and I even had to have friends explain me what a gpu is, so I'm sorry if my questions come over as dumb!)

Watch plenty of videos on YouTube and do your own research. If you don't want to do that, but yourself a pre built machine. With £2k you'll get yourself a very good machine

So for around 1800 I would go for this;
My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,058.95 (includes shipping: £28.02)

Add a Ryzen 5600x (Currently not in stock) and a 3070 (currently not in stock)

Sorted. Awesome gaming machine, one of the best monitors and all round beast.

Zero need for such expensive cooler for only 6 core Ryzen.

Alpenfohn Brocken Eco Advanced in discount for £20 is actualle little heavier than Freezer 34.

And its "big brother" would be £43

I haven't suggested a Freezer34, why are you comparing a very good performing AIO to a £20 air cooler?

Freezer II beats both the Eco and Brocken 3 by a good few degrees also.
