With Currys, dispatched does not necessarily mean it's in transit to being delivered. Quite a few folk have had a similar status only to find it can mean the next batch of stock is in the process of being shipped to Currys depots, which will then be passed on to couriers for delivery. As for me, my order has firmly settled on "in progress" status .... which in Currys parlance probably means my console is being fabricated at Sony's manufacturing plant ;)

Ahh, gotcha, good to know - cheers buddy. I wish I had of asked here first now! I would have saved myself 45 mins of waiting on the Currys webchat :)

I literally just came in to say about using the safely remove extended storage option on the PS5. Spooky :p

Its in the extended storage settings.

I reckon many wont be doing it and simply unplugging their drives.

But this has been normal procedure on PS4 as well? Or are far fewer people using external HDDs on PS4s?

I’m not sure what’s up with me. I played AC:V and hated it, thought I’d try Days Gone, and whilst it looks amazing at times, I couldn’t get on with it either. The characters, gameplay and story are just... bad. Tried Monster Hunter World and it’s not my cup of tea either!
So I went back to Astro’s Playroom and platinum’ed it. So much fun! :)
The timed runs are great! Some of the times already on the leaderboard are insane!

It's ok not to like games. Days gone I quite enjoyed but I never finished it because it dragged on way too long. I'm actually about to play MHW and I thoroughly enjoyed Astro too, enjoyable and easy platinum.

Having only played RDR2 on the PS4, I've got a somewhat 'long' backlog of games to play... :D

The BC of the PS5 has given it a much bigger appeal.

Currently I'm playing through Spiderman: Remastered (PS5) and Days Gone (PS4)

Then I have:
Miles Morales (PS5)
The last guardian
Batman arkham knight
Borderlands 3 (classed as PS5)
God of War
Uncharted 4
Doom Eternal (will wait for the PS5 update)

And that's just the games I really want to play - got another 4 or 5 on the '2nd choice' list too :D:p

Oh and I need to complete astro and get the platinum, of course. I was a bit of a platinum hunter back in my PS3 days.

Looks like i have to take me chances on eBay with the rest of the mugs , not seeing my daughter going without a PS5 for christmas

Still cannot believe on Game website for 3 hours , got to checkout ready to pay " OUT OF STOCK " 3 times

Haha this is true! I go through spells of not getting gripped by games. Just bad timing with a shiny new console. Hopefully have Demons Souls in the next week and I’ve got Prey and Dishonoured 2 on the way. And a squillion others from PS Plus I should give a go.
I think I just prefer level-based or linear games these days rather than Ubisoft sort of open world things barring a few exceptions!

The lack of optical irritates me as it's removed one of my favourite features of my Astros: the ability to regulate the balance between chat and game sound.
I had the same concerns with my Steelseries Arctis Pro + Gamedac but work fine via USB and the microphone worked fine to.

That's not what I said though :p

Nothing wrong with the headset, it works fine, I just don't have the ability to regulate the balance between the chat volume and game volume which I did have on the PS4.

I'm actually considering just going and buying Demons souls for £70 from Argos today.

Demon's souls is currently the only game I've bought for my PS5. The £70 price tag is fierce but I feel that out of all the launch titles it's by far the best so that goes part of the way to justifying it at least.

Is there any way to stop the PS5 updating The Last Guardian to 1.03 ?

(Even though I have auto updates turned off it still keeps updating it.... if only they would patch it !)

I was just thinking do Amazon's couriers have to cover the cost of an item if it's went missing after being loaded into the van? . If so you can see why it's an easy profit for some.

Put it up on eBay, earn a couple of hundred and then cover the loss of the PS5.

Cex are offering £51 cashback on it so even if it's not for you, you can recoup most of what you paid and you'll get to experience one of the best looking games ever made.

I may be too easily impressed, but the start of Spider-Man MM has blown me away?

That is seriously impressive stuff!
It is seriously impressive. The remaster also is blowing my mind at how good it looks. I am playing with RT on in fidelity mode and my god I never thought it would look this good. Youtube doesn't do it justice.

yeah I got it now. I figured even if I sold it for £35 that's still only cost me £35 which falls in line with what I'd pay for a new game.
