Since way more AMD AIB cards tend to use the reference PCB, even if they're heavily binned and use upgraded heatsinks or fans, I thought this would be useful.

Especially since, because of this, few if any waterblocks for non-reference PCBs are likely.

I'll add any cards in second post, when people post them.

I've been looking at the cards on the manufacturer websites, it's not promising from Sapphire or Powercolor at the very least. The cards are wider, the pcbs look shorter. The power connectors are in a different place on some of them as well.

Powercolor and Sapphire are usually a mix ... their halo product being custom PCB, and ones below ref. Seems like it may be that way re: Powercolor - Red Devil (top card) vs Red Dragon (one below). Others seem inconclusive. Though ASUS, surprising nobody, seem to be going custom for everything.

I've requested clarification from the ones with transparent contact procedures. Will hopefully hear back.

Hopefully. Looking at the Pulse and the Nitro though, they both look to be a bigger PCB just with different coolers on top. Same with Powercolor. I'm sure there will be some reference available from someone though. Perhaps XFX.

The Red Dragon doesn't look any different to me. I may be wrong though. The Red Devil clearly uses a larger, higher spec PCB. I doubt if you could call either the Strix or TUF PCBs from ASUS higher spec than ref ... probably lower.

Also should be stated that XFX / PowerColor / Sapphire have done custom PCBs with identical layout of major components, before, so they're compatible with ref waterblocks.

The Red Dragon is at least wider if you look at how it is positioned the the I/O plate. Unless I'm going insane. I think it's shorter too, the visible fan connectors and such on the bottom of the pcb also look to be placed differently. May be insignificant. I do hope you get some replies though, I dislike uncertainty!

Awesome idea this thread good job, I'm not sure many if any cards tomorrow will be anything other than stock PCB with a custom cooler from the looks of things?
If only we could have some sort of system where we could watch videos from variouse people who had the cards early and shared their findings before launch day on some sort of YouTube platform... :D:D:D:p:).

Asrock 6800XT Sub Zero may be a good option. Full ref, binned.

SRP $20 more than ref ($649).

Of course, getting one, let alone getting one near SRP is likely to be almost impossible ...

How about the phantom gaming from asrock? Was looking in to this but seems hard to find anything on what cards use reference pcb. Would a bios from a card that does work on my reference 6800xt card? If there is one with a little higher power limit.

I'm looking to water cool my sapphire pulse 6800xt and cant find anywhere any solid info on it, would it be the same pcb as the nitro? I've tried contacting sapphire multiple times.and to no avail.
