looks like i made the right decision cancelling my 3080 non OC TUF. i was 27 in the queue before i cancelled, although it was on a friday so i missed one queue update, couldve went to under 20 but i severely doubt it

Try being over 950th in it. Luckily a forum member managed to get another and sold me his TUF OC. Anyone over 100, seriously- look for alternatives.

Maybe so though we don't know how much order they actually made . They claim 50,000 so would aibs do that at a good base price knowing that Nvidia are leaving them with tight margins I dout it somehow. As I said the Indian takeaway straight away was 720 . They didn't take preorders though and basically have no stock . But that price tells me the pricing was wrong. Btw they claimed the increase of price was due to the pound changing in which case it was 2 different orders from them and people over ordered at the 650

No they didn't overordered. Ocuk have system in place that automatically adjust pricing after X amount of orders are placed to reflect their buying price from vendors. It doesn't really matter for me the price. I'm talking about fact that OK amount is NOT 20 places that we all moved in that queue. There is cards missing that only God knows what they did with them.
It's what we fight with them about since day one - transparency and it's lacking.

You're right. #1 frustration while waiting is not knowing all the things.. but sometimes you simply can't know or shouldn't know for privacy reasons. In a hospital queue if things are taking ages you moan, if you knew that some victim of a crime is fighting for their lives and jumped the queue you'd be okay with it.. but maybe they're not allowed to tell you.

One good reason for the missing cards is simply that many cards get returned because they're dead. What do you do with those? Put them at the back of the queue? Or hold back a new one? Same with people who provably paid at 14:25 yet the payment system failed.. do you insert them into the queue or do you put them at position 38914739274? etc.

Transparency is key, and being transparent about when and why you can't is #2.

I was 60 in que last Friday for Asus Tuf OC got mine delivered Yesterday from OC so they had a big delivery in.
Anyone got a solution for 144hz though i cant get windows to run the monitors at more than 60 through DP, though I have had to drop from Surround to 2 monitors to free up the third DP for VR ?

can you not change it thru nvidia control panel? or am I on the wrong track

Jesus Overclockers are getting hammered on Trustpilot, surely that will start have a negative effect, a lot of loyal customers stating they not returning for business here again, I think they could have avoided a lot of this negative feedback if they were just completely transparent, rather than this guessing game we have going on with "ok amount" or "Large amount", just whack up a table showing us what's due in and on what dates, we cant really argue about that.

is there any evidence they actually sold them intentionally to miners, or miners just snapped up $175M's worth of them? the BTC miner and bot communities i imagine have a fair bit of overlap.

I paid way over RRP for a card last week with OC and I doubt I'll get it anytime soon. Had OC placed a table on their website like other competitors stating how many back orders they have for that card (because it is not a preorder, it's clearly a back order) I wouldn't have considered a pre order with OC since I would then know it would be a very long wait.

So please don't call those with very valid grievances whiners and moaners, OC wasn't correct in stating they are the best suited place to guarantee stock thanks to their size, while hiding behind a lack of transparency so they could take the money from unsuspecting possible customers like me. It is not an ethical way of doing business.

Yep. Too many people on here just happy to just sit and wait in a massive queue. Everyone I personally know who was after a card has put in little effort outside of OC and managed to get a card after a week or so. Not at an over inflated price too.

Guys if you really want a card this side of 2020, just put in some effort. The card won't just come to you.

It's all good posting 'oh I've dropped 50 places this week in the queue YAY!' bs, we all know once you reach about 100 or lower, nobody will budge below you!

I've been on the discord and telegram for over a month now, have wasted dozens of hours, have bought 2 cards only to have them cancelled next day, still waiting on refund, and have had the FE right through to OTP twice only to have my basket emptied. It is not as easy as your making out, especially if you are even a little bit fussy about the card you want and the price you want to pay.

If you only ordered last week and are not happy with the queue position etc. then just cancel and get a full refund.

No need to stay in the queue feeling upset about it, just refund and go hunting on Discord, it really isn't that hard to pick up a 3080 if you can put a little time in...
