*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

What a nice surprise. Instead of a Monday delivery I got the Trio today. No Haribo in the box.... After 72 days of waiting I was expecting at least 2 packs but not even 1?? So disappointed. I guess I will just have to be happy with the card. :D Good luck for everyone else still waiting, I guess I will see you all in 4 years when it's time to upgrade to a 5080. Let's hope the wait will not be as long as this one.

Pre-order now and you might stand a chance.

I've bowed out, I managed to get a 3070 elsewhere, I was tempted to get a 3090 but instead I bought the ridiculous Samsung 49 inch curved Ultrawide monitor instead, something that's worth the money.

At position 114 in the Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC queue I'll no doubt probably get the card in January. Doesn't bother me as I've paid via finance and I'm already well on my way to having the funds to pay for the card within the interest free period. I knew full well that it would be difficult securing a card from this launch as soon as the store pages died on the first two days. Picked up Control/Metro Exodus and the Port Royale RTX test on Steam sale and I've already pre-ordered Cyberpunk 2077. Least when I get my card I'll be sorted for content to get tucked into. In the meantime I'll get back to my Unreal Return to Na Pali playthrough followed by Metro Last Light to keep me occupied.

After ordering an EVGA card day one, and sitting at queue number 14 for 8 weeks, I cancelled some time ago. After a couple of weeks on the discord alerts channel I bagged a 3080 FE. Arrived today. Still not a single EVGA FTW non-ultra has been shipped.

I may pop back for the drama from time to time, good luck all.

OC seem to be getting no EVGA cards whatsoever, however the other competitor the EVGA cards were one of their most popular and have been tanking through the orders, wtf is up with that... Somebody at OC has ****** someone off:D

The thing is I don't personally think it's a matter of pre builds . I noticed on release day other competitors increased price before oc did. And with the number of pre orders they recieved 10,000 in first 2 hours according to gibbo oc have shot themselves in the foot . It wouldn't surprise me if the reason they getting lower stock is because they don't want to shell out increased prices so they want cancels to happen. Just because he claims they getting an ok amount don't mean that's what they recieve . If people here payed 650 and they now getting charged the same amount they won't be getting a profit . I won't be using these again and I would expect a bit more info but theyv done all this to themselves

I highly doubt they had anywhere near 10,000 in the first two hours as site was down for most of that time or extremely slow and nobody could get in. I would take any figures he gives with great apprehension as they ahave proven to be wrong 9 times out of 10.

I was in non OC (1800+ place) then I ordered OC and jumped over 600 places just by doing so. IMHO it was worth it for 30 quid. I hear your frustration but there could be other explanation to this situation. Instead of 50ish (ok amount) tuf non OC they got only 20+ and rest of that amount was the other brands that were shipped but not been communicated. Dont remember exactly which ones were there but peeps were reporting shipped cards. That's possible, but we will never know because @Gibbo instead communicating changes with us actively looking for his knob (for his Ferrari) lol

Problem is with that idea that the Update was specifically ASUS and broken down by specific card, I know he is a bit useless but even he would not count other makes into an ASUS only update.

The MSI Trio's that got dispatched without any announcement of expected delivery or arrival are just another case of his atrocious update and information skills.
They were not the first cards to get dispatched without any notification and will no doubt not be the last.

Oh I know mate I am skeptical with any info given as gibbo does seem to pull numbers out his ass . But I do feel they do want cancels to happen regardless of size . I find it baffling how incoming stock can change on a weekly when it can be avoided with them mearly saying they getting less in causing more people to point fingers . It feels like they want to push people for whatever reason. And I hate to bring up his car but stupid people don't and probably won't build up enough wealth to do so

Not true,

When I say fussy about the price that means no more than £800 for a card that should be 650, and no more than 900 for a card that should cost 800 - we aren't talking really fussy, I just wont pay scalper prices. If I wanted to spend £900 on a ventus, there's one 10miles away on gumtree.

The RRP is no longer £650 unless going for a FE and has not been since 16:00 is on Sep 17th, you will not find any 3080 for £650 unless it is an official source FE.
Got my 3038 3 days after being on Discord for £40 more than OC charged me at 17:00 on day one.

Read again, I said I'm willing to pay 800 for a card that should be 650 and 900 for the rest. Never once did I say I was looking a card at 650. I mean even my pre-order here is 780. If I wanted to pay £900 for a £700 card I could have it in my machine in an hour.

Saying you will pay £800 for a card that should be £650 implies you think they should still be £650 when that was just Nvidia figure to entice people and in no way was ever going to be MSRP for AIB cards. We would all like to go back to £650 but they wont do that even when stock is fully available.

Great ! Palit arrived today. It is really well made. I like it. I cancelled OCUK pre order / back order on my asus TUF 3080 non OC. I was 700+ sonething in a queue. Good luck to you all. Will post pic of the card later.

Your being pedantic, the only thing that matters is what I'm willing to pay, not what I think they are worth or what the msrp is.

But if people think 800 is too fussy for tuf or ventus, or 900 too fussy for an ftw or strix, well that's up to them.

Agreed it is what you should be willing to pay . But considering here I payed 650 for the ventus I will be damn fussy having to shell out 800 if I moved on
