*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I got a 3090 FE at the end! My watch ends here. Ar least I paid the normal price for an FE 3090. I am not happy with the decision but I’ve wasted already too much time in this that I could have used to make money :)

I got it sitting in my basket... I just don't know If i can click the button :(

I fail to understand how OCUK operate. They still have hundreds of customers waiting for their 3080 cards , potentially thousands across all new releases for NVIDIA and AMD but they've made 3090's available for pre-order... all while claiming they don't release 3060ti's for pre-order to avoid this situation from happening again... bonkers!

I can't comprehend what's happening behind the scenes BUT what I do agree with here is that they seem to be unaware of how much this damaging there brand.

I have been with overclockers for 10 years + and can testify to how efficient there customer service has been in that time , but currently with wait times phone + hour give or take and quoting 3 days shipping items for items in stock (waiting 5 days now). It's becoming increasingly difficult to defend the company I have been with for the above time mentioned above.

There are a big shop with hundreds of thousands of customers. Affected people are what, 1-1.5k? A drop in the ocean. But that aside, all other stores (all of their competition) do exactly the same thing. It seems to be industry standard in UK, really, not an exception. Deposits of some value would be better of course and they already mentioned they're thinking about it for the next year, when changes to the system will happen. But too late to change anything this year. Changes like that take many many months of planning, implementing and testing before they get rolled out to customers.

I suspect there's a very little market in comparison for 3090s (because of the price) and they might got info that 200 or so are coming soon enough. Who knows... Meanwhile 3060Ti do not have pre-orders as they are in stock, just being released once in a while in batches. Taking pre-orders for something they have in stock would be silly.

They'll have at least 1 less future customer after I get my card from them.

Honestly I think he is off. Ive asked customer service about updates and they told me they have none. The only updates coming in should be in the forum. I am not saying is a good news but that is what it is.

Okay, my watch is done. Order a 3090 FE. Way more than I wanted to spend but at least I no longer have to deal with watching a forum or stock informer day in day out.

I can rest easy.

He is off, few days, he's moving houses. He mentioned that a few times in various threads.

Guys is that update thread still active ? Haven't seen an update on it in ages. Or has it been moved to a different thread?

Absolutely. Did you not get any of the updates for this week about the cards that will arrive, the cards that will be shipped and their schedule for deliveries in upcoming weeks? Don't worry if you missed out. I'll summarise it for you.

"A small amount of Palit 3080 Gaming Pro and Gaming Pro OC are due to arrive later this week."

I already saw that, but I wanted to believe that I missed the important ones, like the ramped up numbers of MSI Gaming X trio, at least 300 incoming and expecting to ship by the 4th of December, crap like that :)

They said production won't ramp until November. That's another 11 months away

Im not just talking about 3080 orders , I have one I caved in and paid scalpers so I could enjoy over Christmas.

What you need to remember that drop in the ocean (affected case) multiples many times over far quicker then it took to build loyalty trust etc (good experiances ) from people sharing there bad experience's via face to face and or friends / family and social media.

Fully agree . This is a lot more then just GPUs now . All you have to do is go to trust pilot or other threads /discord to see what people think . Over the last couple months I've seen people moan about not recieving psu's , monitors ect . Been left angry that next day delivery has turned into weeks delivery. Followed by hours of sitting on the fone trying to contact them . The only place that seemed to give support was discord and now even that page is gone . Alienating customers is definitely what they are doing and it's hard to gain trust after you start rustling a few feathers
