Hi all,

I haven't brought a mobo in the last 10 years, and since then a lot has changed. Which out of these motherboards are the best to get for the new 5000 ryzen series?

I know that some of these have Wifi and currently I don't really need Wifi as the computer it would be going in is hardlined to the router. Though it seems to be a standard option on boards around this price.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £967.55 (includes shipping: £12.60)

If they have Wi-Fi then they usually have bluetooth if that's a consideration. X570 offers mors pcie lanes so if you plan on using 2 m2 drives that would be a be a better option as it wont affect the gpu speed.

Msi tomahawk should be on your list but check out the fetures you need or may need.

Make sure the motherboard has bios flashback so you can update the board to take the cpu without the need for an older cpu .

Thanks for the response, I thought the B550 and X570 support zen 5000 out of the box and that BIOS flash back was handy on B450 and x470 boards?

Nope they need a bios update, maybe the very newest boards mite be ok but don't take the risk.

Who knows how long a board has been sitting on a shelf.

Thanks I've also had look at he MSI tomahawk, I think that's the one I'll go with what with that one.

I've used MSI boards in the past, and they've always been solid

My current board is an MSI, it's been great for the last 10 years, though when I started looking back in june, I saw a few reviews saying that their offerings in X570 were not great, but I don't think the tomahawk was out at that point.
