yep can still do test drives just a lot more checking for security done but yeah they let you pop off on your own, this is how we recently bought our new car

What checks specifically, just driving license and another form of ID?

Test drives on your own are definitely more appealing

I've always spotted cars of interest locally on auto trader that I would consider in future, but my experience was independent Garages were wary of test drive if you weren't genuinely interested in buying.

It almost certainly will be my next car just cant justify it while i work from home and do so few miles

maybe if leisure miles go back to normality some time soon..

One of the best bits about the car IMO. It’s subtle enough to go unnoticed
