*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I still don't understand why OC has only had 30 Strix OC's while one of your competitors has had a good few hundred. very much feels like we backed the wrong horse here. Especially as they're expecting more before Christmas, and you're not...... why is OC's line with them so much worse than others?

Yeah, it doesn't look great but even other UK competitors don't seem to be getting any strix cards and it's infuriating.

Compounding it is the Asus rep saying OC get notice of shipments weeks in advance and then OC stating they only know days in advance and don't know numbers or which card till it reaches distribution.

Just waiting for Asus to pull their fingers from out their asses and get more considerable numbers of non-oc stock out.
or stock at all for that matter

So far OCUK has received between 3-10pc non-oc Strix's ("Very small shipment of") and 56 non-oc TUFs that Gibbo has told us of

I started at 150 in the queue and I'm now down to 101.

MSI really do be showing every other company up during this "demand" problem.

here's hoping Asus make a big shipment before christmas but it looks like we'll be seeing cards out next year from the looks...

Maybe not got a clue :) But you could have told people you do not have the facilities to meet demand and that this has been the case for months - save a lot of people a lot of time and heartache waiting for their expensive tech. I would have thought in a lockdown with businesses closing down all over the place that storage/warehouses would have been perhaps easier to manage. Have you even made any progress into moving the business since demand ramped up 3 months ago if this is the only solution to your stock issues?

I do not have a business but I know I cannot carry 2 pints of water in a one pint jug.
Many infrastructure improvements are in the works and have been for a while, it's just a slow moving, complex process. Just today I had yet another meeting with the software developers to go over more of our needs.

we can't afford to get anything wrong. One of our suppliers had a problem with a new system earlier this year and it essentially shut them down for ten days...

So I am 41 for a 3080 Palit Gaming Pro (non OC) and I can’t work out if I should wait or look else where... like how long am I expected to wait for this card? Months? Weeks?

this sounds like I am mad but is a genuine question...as I’m not sure what my next step should be
well, at the very least I'd wait for the update that I mentioned from the Palit supplier towards the end of this week. Might be 5, might be 50, I really don't know.

No where has any and if they did would it end up costing you a lot more? Nothing stopping you doing both I guess, unless you need the refund prior to buying. But you better get your dice and hope for snake eyes

@Gibbo long shot getting an answer, but are there any updates on 3080 GB Gaming OC?
if not for this week, is any good amount arriving before Christmas?

Gigabyte is show 20 units on way to us, but 10 were shipped end of November and still not here, so we should be getting 20 but they are either still in transit, waiting to be booked in to our warehouse or lost/stolen by couriers, hopefully not the latter.

Hi there

To let you guys know cards which are not currently listed like the Suprim Cards and there are some others, we are currently building up the stock piles.

Once those stock piles are built up I shall then speak with CS and we shall make one of the following decisions:
- Contact customers waiting for an MSI 3080 Gaming X if they wish to upgrade - ONLY possible if CS have the time to do so, right now zero chance, but in a 7-10 days we hope the craziness may drop off.
- Put Suprim online but at like £3000 and then offer a voucher code to bring it to a fair price, which will be posted on forums, however I cannot make voucher codes, so would be an IT requiest, if they are too busy then its not possible.
- Put Suprim cards live once stock is built upto 100+ and drop a heads up on the forum and hope you guys manage to get one.

We are quite limited in what we can actually do, due to software/backend limitations or relying on other departments to implement changes.

The last option is possible but we shall aim for option 1 first, then fall back to option 2 if 1 is not possible.

However as of right now we won't be listing any 3080's of any brand until closer to Christmas, we need to try and build stock up and then see if we can implement option 1 or 2 above.
Those asking about 3070's yes stock levels are building up, again closer to Christmas we will put them live and only mention doing so on forums.
3060Ti we have a lot of stock built up and all being well we will put live sometime next week, again with a forums heads up only.

On AMD front, we will again put some stock live before Christmas, but numbers are tiny, those interested in 6900XT we have only around 160 cards which we may put some live end of next week, again with only a forums heads up.

We are trying to do the best with the tools we have to hand, but at the end of the day the supply is woeful.

I cringe when a distributor says we have 10pc for you, I am like I need 10,000 to meet demand for just a day. Supply needs a massive miracle, to get on top of things.
I think the answer to how to distribute the suprim is easy just offer them to people who ordered a msi card by email in order of the time there order was placed or just in order time the order was placed regardless of card or brand ordered. Easy and fair

So @Gibbo @ScottiB

What are the chances of 3080 Ventus's next week? Should I be optimismistic or cancel. I'm 4th and no deal is looming. Its a perfect storm tbh
next week? 20-30% There's two small batches on the way but judging from how long it took the last lot of MSI cards to get from the airport to our door (they haven't landed yet), we are realistically looking at no earlier than the 18th.

I understand that. But other models pop up. But yeah it’s just a rather hopeless situation from our side. Most likely will just hold out.

Or sell a kidney for a 3090 lol

Exactly it is a dilemma for sure. I am just here for popcorn ....
(not really I hope to snag a 3080 at some point, but surprisingly I have developed a new virtue as I get older - patience ) :D

It is busiest time of year with 100's of deliveries arriving each day potentially and the booking in team can only do so much each day, GPU's are a priority but at same time when deliveries land they are not always clear as to what they are and the booking in team could be busy booking in a container of cases, monitors or a several thousand pieces of memory, unfortunately, they cannot just drop everything and they are human.
@Gibbo, many thanks for all updates and info, hope moving went ok, near Christmas is a mad time to be moving house! cheers.

I've looked into the 3090 but its just too unrealistically expensive. I could probably just about afford it bit I can't justify it. If anything right now going the opposite way and getting a 3070 is more tempting, because at least you can get one and bring this ordeal to an end, but I can't quite bring myself to buy a lesser card than the 3080. Therein lies the problem for many of us and why the 3080 is so sought after. It hits the sweet spot so well for price and performance.

I'm holding out for a 3080 for a while longer. Certainly into the new year. See how things develop.

Was thinking the same, but the 3060ti would imo be the better option for stop gap.
