If there are, for instance, 1500 people in the Queue for the Asus Rog Strix that equates to over 1.3 MILLION POUNDS in the Bank of Overclockers, 1.3 MILLION on JUST ONE CARD
3 months after launch & OC hasn't had a Gigabyte shipment in weeks. What is going on!?
This is ridiculous.
Scott mentioned that if you receive a card to get in touch (via Webnote), as nvidia finally got back to them. Worth a shot. How do I know if I’m entitled to a watchdogs code? I ordered my Zotac 3080 OC on 12/11 and my replacement (1st was doa) arrives tomorrow but I’ve not seen anything mentioning a code etc. Any info would be welcomed![]()
Any idea how many Suprims you guys will have when you launch? if you do offer it through the gaming x trio Q would i expect to get one if im at 300 (assuming nobody cancels and those 50 go out this week)?
Also what would the price difference that i would have to pay be?
Thanks

That’s what I think too. They’re gonna jump the gaming performance of the 3090 and change tack on the 3090 advertising. It will now be a ‘productivity’ card rather than a gaming one.The 3090 is just 10%-15% faster than the 3080 so how are they going to position the 3080ti? Slightly faster than the 3080 with more memory? or will they jump over the 3090 claiming is was never sold as a gaming card despite the silly 8k gaming sales pitch. Won't matter they'll be no stock and by the time OC have put their own tax on it it's going to be 3090 prices.

That is an interesting suggestion. I wonder if we'll find out later down the linei've got a theory that nvidia got wind of the 6800xt's raster performance and bumped the 3080 a bit higher than they would've done otherwise, which has screwed up how they planned to stagger their line. the chip shortage, the fact the chips that are produced are binned to a very similar capability (meaning AIB cards have very little variance in them), the price to performance increase being much better than last generation, the narrow space between the 3080 and 3090 performance all points to this.
as a result, there's not much of an avenue for a 3080ti, which i reckon was originally planned to be very close to the current 3080 spec.
all conjecture of course, but it does add up.
Me and my Brother got Eagles from a competitor but even though we ordered day 1 hour 1 it took 4-5 weeks. This was I think due to the recall of the power cables, when I got it it the date was after the "fixed" week of 42 I think. So ehhhhh do eagles actually exist or what?
I'm pretty sure every one of my queue drops has been due to a cancellation?
I'm not even mad at this point, I'm past caring but I'm genuinely concerned about this particular card.
Why are any not coming in?
I'm 36th for an MSI 3080 Trio. With 50pcs coming, taking into account expected amount of stock being lost in transit/damaged etc are the chances good for seeing it before Christmas?
I've ordered a asus 3080 TUF (non oc), which seems non existed. I don't think I've actually seen any on gibbos stock post. Are we aloud to swap our cards? And do we lose our place in the queue if we do?
