*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Forgive me for jumping in without reading the other 1532 pages in this thread first but is there a way to view the queue and assess what my best chance of getting a 3080 is?

‘I’m coming from 980SLI so I’m not too fussed about which make or OC’d speed etc

I’ve recently decided to upgrade and can’t believe how difficult it is.
It honestly depends if your up for at least a further 3 month wait on here or just bide your time till March and buy the card then that matches your needs. I bought on release date and have been waiting till now.

Basically no. There is not a page showing all queues currently. If you want any 3080 at all as quick as possible you would maybe be better watching stock checker sites etc.

Thanks for the replies guys, sorry basic newbie question, presume I could take my existing 980’s out and the 3080 would fit straight in with my motherboard?

space isn’t an issue

yeah I'm waiting on a tuf OC 3080 that q is not quite as bad as the tuf non OC, but been here nearly three months and gone slowly from >900 to im hoping ~360 ish this week or next depends on when these tufs Gibbo mentioned turn up, but still away off yet, i seriously think they should have produced a lot higher proportion of non OC tufs, don't know where they get their numbers from??. Hope we all get sorted soon as, but with all the crap from Nvidia, I sort of wish there was another alternative with the same capabilities as I would have taken that path, christ we need it, i know AMD is very close but we need a third party in on the act, maybe one day Intel (or someone please!) can produce something really decent and knock Nvidia off their high horse! they need taking down a peg or two but don't suppose that will happen very soon, cheers good luck!:D.

Absolutely, I wish there was a good reason to move away from Nvidia I'd jump on it the way things are. But DLSS as a feature doesn't currently have any decent competition and should extend the life of the card as you rely on it more and more to keep your FPS up, that coupled with the better ray tracing performance that comes with it and I can't quite justify the move to AMD yet, I hope they pull it off next time.

It should go into the motherboard fine, the case is what I'd have thought you need to worry about. It's a massive card but if you have a decent size case it should be ok.
And at least a 750W PSU although I think a bit more headroom is ideal.

You'd probably need a new PSU. I'm upgrading from a GTX1080 and my rig only has a 450W PSU in it. You're going to want minimum 750W. 850W is preferable though.

Honestly if you want a 3080 now your best option is to just continuously refresh websites during the the day and the moment one comes up you've got seconds to check out with it. I got a 3080 on Thursday by doing this.
Just be aware that you have to resign yourself to the fact that you're going to have to pay more for a card. I've seen a few cards come up for sale in the last 48hrs and all of them have been top range OC cards selling for
£950 or £999. A lot of money. I've got a horrible feeling that next year any card selling for less than a grand will seem like a bargain. These cards aren't going to get cheaper.

Hi quonker
fellow 980SLI guy here, 399 in the queue for a asus strix 3080 oc. i expect from my excel table extrapolation not to get my card till the second week of February minimum. initially suspected May delivery might be a possibility, that still might be the case. lots of games i am waiting to play that currently limp around my 2k 32 inch screen, bf5, red dead, control. I look at cyber punk 2077, think about buying it, but can't face having another game that just runs like someone trying to run in a vat of cold molasses. on a funny note i should get my "hp reverb g2" VR headset next week, i think you can get 50% resolution on that with a 1080 Ti but with SLI 980 i might get 7 FPS

Do you believe in a diety? Time to start appealing to their better nature to give you a sign. Other than that nope sorry :(

I have cancelled my preorder a week ago and have not received my refund. Do I need to call the police?
YES, call the police, but do much more. Don't stop there. I think you should go to citizens advice and sue them. You should contact the news outlets and spread your story. This is ridiculous. I feel so bad for you.

Anyone here owns an Inno3d iChill x4 3070? Mine works fine but the side fan (4th fan) does not seem to want to start spinning lol. I wonder if there is an odd prerequisite for it to start spinning? It runs really cool but you know, need all the bling lol.

Finally after weeks, ever single part for my new build is here APART FROM the MSI 3080 Ventus X3, I wish this would all hurry up!!!

Lol. I'm kind of in the opposite position. I've got my shiny new Gigabyte Aorus 3080 sitting here but don't have some of the other bits I need to complete my build. Probably won't get them until after Xmas at this rate :(

And then comments about how you need to check spam and make sure it's not being blocked, after multiple people report the same issue, and have been getting updates for months.

Own up OC, your bad system can't even send emails out correctly!
There's no need to take that tone, I was merely trying to be helpful.

I don't know how the emails are generated. It might be related to the custom app that our IT guys wrote for the general manager which enables him to manage the stock allocation. However they work I'm sure that the Strix was not missed intentionally, there's absolutely no reason why it would be.

I'll see if I can find out what happened on Monday.

So what I think should happen is, you give me your card and then that's it. Sounds like a good deal to me. :)
