I bought a coach!

Are any caravans over 750kg, as there can't be many cars under that. Unless it's a wierd ruling to do with the licence mentioned above.

Not withstanding the special case with the coach, the case with typical motor homes towing a car is that the car is considered to be an unbraked trailer which is where the 750kg limit comes from. If you can make the brakes work (There are kits that can actuate the handbrake) or if you put the car on an actual trailer you can tow more

It's kinda complicated because I have Grandfather rights on trailers, But I can drive C1, D1, D, BE, C1E and D1E but not DE, C, and CE. Gonna do my Cat C in case I get reclassified to an HGV but as it is over the max length for an HGV I am not sure how they are gonna do that (max length for a Rigid HGV is 12m Bus/Coach twin axle is 13.5m and tri axle is 15m.

Just get a caterham and you will be golden.

Been there, done that :D

It's a silly rule again as I can drive a combined 15 Passenger bus, under 8m long with a trailer up to a combined weight of 12t, but with the larger Coach at 12.5m then I am restricted to 750kg (which in this case is technically above the 12t as the Coach alone has a Kerb Weight of 12.5t.

I take it reducing it to under an lgv weight is out of the question then:p.

Just fill the whole thing with helium, will weigh loads less and give you a funny voice. It's win win:p. I suspect you could save a lot of weight by replacing structural stuff with exoctic materials, but it wouldn't be cheap:D.

Beestons :D We used to go on every school trip on one of their coaches...at least its not one of the brown ones ;)

See I knew I wasn't along with this thinking. CF roof would save loads, just buy several old e92's and stitch the rooves (might need a spelling check there) together:D.
I dont think buying E92 M3's to rob the roofs from makes financial sense. :p
