Hi guys,

sorry quick and kind of urgent question:

I noticed the MSI GeForce RTX 3070 SUPRIM X has this requirement:

System Requirements 1 x PCI Express 4.0 x16 slot

I think the Asus X99-Pro Intel X99 board "only" has a PCI-E 3.0 slot?

Does that mean the card won't work with this board?

It doesn't mean it won't work as it should just work in PCI-E 3.0 mode

However, more than a few people had issues getting Ampere cards to run on x99 motherboards and ended up upgrading their motherboard and CPU in the end.

That's good to know as I was about to buy a 3 series card for my X99 deluxe.

What seriously? :(

What kind of issues?

I think I may have messed up anyway because the MSI card looks to be 33.5cm long which is too big. Sugar!
