Hi all,

I managed to get an RTX 3070 (Gigabyte Vision) at RRP and replaced my trusted MSI GTX 980Ti with it.
I am aware that Cyberpunk 2077 is a hot mess at the moment and performance is really bad even on much better systems than mine but it got me thinking...

Is my machine perhaps massively bottlenecking the 3070?

I play on an Alienware AW3420DW monitor (3440x1440):

Intel i7-5820K 3.30GHz @ 4 Ghz
Asus X99-Pro Intel X99
Avexir 16 GB Ram
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070 VISION OC 8G

Is it really just a case of Cyberpunk 2077 being in an atrocious state right now or should I seriously consider upgrading the rest of my setup?

Thoughts?

So I am not playing at 4k, I am playing at 3440x1440.

I just check out my FPS at WoW and with everything cranked to the max I also do not get the FPS increase I thought I would get...
Your still going to get about 20% increase in fps if you upgrade cpu to the 9900k, does that bring it inline.

What fps do you get and what do expect to get ?

As I mentioned in the other thread I think the issue is the state CP2077 is in right now - I'm on an even older X79 platform and seeing better performance from the game than many people on far newer CPUs and many reviewers on a range of hardware are seeing very conflicting results. Something isn't running right with it at all even taking the AMD/SMT issue into consideration.

To be honest I was hoping to get 50-60 FPS in Cyberpunk and definitely more than that in WoW. I currently drop down to below 30 FPS in some areas in WoW with the abovementioned setup - but I appreciate WoW apparently scales more based on the CPU rather than the GPU?
