Imagine clicking a random card to order and it ending up being the Zotac trinity non-oc. That was me.

What a f'd up situation this all is... pre ordered at 14:12 and over three months later still not likely to get a card until after christmas... I find it so incredibly unbelievable that it is impossible for a few 1000 cards/gpu's whatever to be manufactured and shipped to the UK just to meet launch day orders given the colossal global manufacturing and logistics systems that existed prior to covid, 92 million tones a year! And the UK gets what? 3-4000 cards so far.

There are stores in the EU with actual physical stock right now... but in 2020 it's not possible to move a few ****** boxes a few hundred miles over a bit of water.

Thought at first... Oh well, I'll wait a few weeks. Then blimey, ok maybe a month or so, won't be long now. Never expected this to be a few hundred down a waiting list and having barely moved for litteral months... Makes you wonder what they mean when they say "we are working with partners to procure as many as possible" actually means...

Feel sorry for gibbo.
 
I'm still confused how I ended up in the queue I'm in.

Went to pre-order the palit cards when they went up for pre-order a few weeks back, and somehow on checkout ended up at the back of the MSI Ventus queue instead. (Not complaining too much as I had been looking at that card, but it wasn't available to preorder at the time)

Only got to wait for another 550 odd cards to be sold though... or was it 650 odd. (edit, it was 654)

Still hoping that if / when they clear other queues they'll start offering it to people who are still waiting.

Have to be honest, it was worth it lol

super happy with my Gigabyte Aorus 3080 Master. Temps don’t get higher than 67 deg C and it’s all lovely and shiny and new

good luck to all those who are now one step closer to your Asus 3080 OC cards I’m sure they will arrive soon :rolleyes:

As am I mate. You took that bullet for us both :p lucky I was up for my last remote day for university or I wouldn't of seen your post. I still owe you that pint and pasty lol.

The card is awesome. I'm not too bothered about the £130 MSRP markup. I did check OcUK were selling them for the same price we paid. Just no stock or pre-order available.

It's nice to see that the CPU stock seems to be sorting itself out according to Gibbos latest post in the CPU information sticky locked thread.

I'm praying for the rest of you guys for the GPUs now :)

Here's hoping for some decent queue updates for everyone. (Though I'm slightly annoyed at Palit and Asus announcing White variants that would have gone perfectly in my case *grumble*)
 
A nice 8am delivery today. Last day at work for two weeks also today. So its a merry Christmas for me.
