Hi everyone,

I know nothing about PC’s but looking for a build that will run DayZ on ultra setting. A little bit of future proofing wouldn’t go amiss either.

thanks in advance

What resolution??

1080p ultra build.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,056.10 (includes shipping: £12.30)

You will need to add a ryzen 5 5600X for £329 instead of the 3700x (its only there as a placeholder) as if DayZ is a bit more cpu intensive.

You could also change the 1660super for a 3060ti when they are avaialble and tht will boost the graphics ability a lot for about £420 (so another £160 over the above total)

Yes lol.

What resolution are you playing at??
60hz refresh or faster?

Thanks again. I’m not playing yet so haven’t thought about refresh rates.....starting from scratch

Is there any difference in the 3060ti on OC store?

also why the 5 over 7 ryzen? I’m a noob so go easy

Not exactly what you mean here.
The 3060ti is a bout 85% faster than the 1660 super i quoted in the build.
The different models of 3060ti will all have slightly different cooler/ clock speed and rgb lighting. Look for a decent warrenty if you have no preferences over particular brands or pick one on the asthetics you like.

As curiousTomCat said the ryzen 7 3700x is last years tech. I didnt try squeezing a 5800x into your build as its over £460 and that is almost a third of your budget alone!!!! The 5600x will be up to 19% faster in almost everything over the 3700x (depending upon game and resolution)

sorry didn’t explain myself clearly, I wondered what the difference in brands were and you have explained this so thank you.

I have been tweaking some of your build and think I have something that is slightly over budget at £1600 but will do everything I need and more.

At a £1600 budget I'd be looking at 1440p 144hz with a RTX 3060ti minimum, is the monitor included in the budget?
