Yep. I was about to come and be helpful but I thought better of it.
Same. Post #2 is a good a clue as he's getting, given the refusal to run some weatherproof ethernet cable.

What’s that got to do with running cable lol
They normally steal cable.![]()
I don't think OP would steal their own though.
Cheers. I was considering another cpe210 or a router. It's knowing what router has screw off antennas, internet pictures don't do it justice.
The external aerial is confusing me a bit, what do the db decibels mean when referring to an antenna?

To be fair, running cabling between poles does look naff (especially as a permanent fixture) so i can appreciate someone not wanting to do that.
Exactly, I'm hardly going to erect two poles just to get some music in my shed. bouton seems a bit of a fanny and all his wee ******* pals can **** off. how's that for killing a thread?
Mikrotik Wireless Wire because the Ubquiti Nanostations are too slow and the Gigabeams are too expensive.
Yes but I don't want a powerline adapter.
Why not? I use them to get network out to my workshop and then a switch on the workshop end of it. Works fine.
Yeah, they're pretty good these days. Mine are 2000 models. I think the 2000 refers to some imaginary maximum speed they can do when next to eachother in the same double socket. I get about 300Mbps out of them on a 5M run to the workshop. Good enough to support the shop PC, 3D Printers, CNC, WiFi repeater etc. I've never had to reboot them or anything. They just work.
